Title: Good for an intermediate, non-tournament player
Review: I got this as a gift for a friend who is an excellent tennis player, who needed a better pickleball paddle. Here are his thoughts:Got the Passion Pulse pickleball racquet and just got to try it out. Nice packaging and a really nice cover. This paddle is thicker and heavier that the one I have been using and I played with both back and forth against a wall to test them out. The new heft took a bit of getting used to but volley returns and dinks were easier since there was more touch, or less swing to get the ball to go where I wanted it to go. And when just holding the racquet still and blocking hard volleys, the ball was returned with more power. It also took some time to get used to the carbon friction surface. I was able to get a lot more spin on the ball but had to dial it back a bit to keep the ball where I wanted it to go. As a beginner / intermediate pickleball player and a high level tennis player, I can give this racquet high marks.It made a very nice gift and comes in attractive packaging.I asked my friend about the amount of vibration that he feels when playing with it. He reported that it absorbs vibration well.My friend has continued to play with it and likes the paddle. One thing that I did not realize when I ordered it is that it is not approved for tournament play. If it were USAPA approved I would rate it 5*.

Title: A little heavy for me
Review: I'm just a beginner and don't know much, but compared to another paddle I have, this felt a little heavier. This is slightly narrower than the other paddle, and I felt the sweet spot may be slightly smaller. The grip felt comfortable. The color is cute. The textured surface is good.

Title: Great Control and Reach! Beautifully Made!
Review: I'm enthusiastic about how good this paddle is - at everything. Let's start with how well it's constructed. Just the little things. While it's not edgeless, it does have very minimal edges and they are integral to the construction - that's what all that stuff about "injected" means in the description - it's just a structural filler that ties the edge guards into the paddles tightly and bonds them to the edges of all layers of paddle face. Benefit here is you can hit the ball right up to the edge guard (but not on it) and get a reliable, consistent play, even though you won't be on the sweet spot.It's a long paddle with a pretty good grip - plenty long, with enough squish in the tape to satisfy me that I can grab and hold it well. All high quality there. The paddle faces are carbon fiber, and they are high-grade carbon fiber not fully immersed in the resin at the top layer so a very even and uniform pattern of abrasive surface shows through - all at uniform depth and uniform pattern - delivering excellent consistency in the grip I get on the ball, and the spin I can make with that. Impressive! Also, because it's carbon fiber, it doesn't erase away easily. This is a keeper paddle that I'll just retape as needed on the grips with use and keep for years, I'm sure.Sweet spot is huge, despite being a long paddle designed for reach. It does give me the reach, but it delivers nice solid thunks anywhere on the paddle I strike the ball - it's all sweet, and I have great feel for each shot. It will improve my game - something I can see just from the first half an hour playing with it off of my practice wall. I'm really hitting my targets accurately!On the whole, it feels like a very expensive paddle, and it's certainly among the best of those I own. I really like it and it will see common use for me. Great paddle and great value!
