Title: Chuck - Johnny B Goode - plus all his most classic cuts at a bargain price
Review: In my opinion, Chuck Berry is the first and the grand daddy of all rock lead guitarists. If you have a passion for rock lead guitar, like I do, then no record library is complete without Chuck Berry. This album has all the most memorable of Chuck's long list of great hits. It continues to amaze me how he apparently was able to catapult into fame with songs he wrote at such a young age that were so amazingly innovative and fresh, especially for his time. His guitar playing at such a very young age was so new as rock and roll was beginning to emerge on the American and soon after the world scene. His legacy has lived on and on throgh many changes and transitions in styles and trends since the 1950's and rightfully so. Undoubtedly, in my mind, Chuck Berry's influence and timing was instrumental in catipulting not only himself but rock music into American pop and world music culture where it is now permanently fixed for all time.

Title: Inspired The Beatles, Beach Boys & Rolling Stones
Review: He inspired the Beatles & earned a fortune when that group put covers of his songs on their first few albums. He came from an era that required dance music to sell records & he delivered. Even the Beach Boys and Rolling Stones used his records to inspire hit records, so his influence cannot be underestimated. You listen to his music today without it feeling dated. Go to YouTube to see what Chuck's dynamic performance was like. Other reviewers note that there are compilations with more of his tunes, but this was the best value & less expensive than buying the tunes as MP3s, if you like most of his tunes.

Title: WHAT A JOY!
Review: This just a "fun" cd. Since this is my first Chuck Berry purchase, I can only compare the quality to what I have heard on the radio and it is superb. This is a great driving CD. Loved listening to it in my vehicle while on a drive. Gracenote quickly picked it up on my media center. Love it! Packaged with plain graphics (do wish they would have chosen a clearer photo of Chuck Berry for the cover) and a simple listing of songs on back of CD. It did contain a short bio and simple liner notes.

Title: Great CD
Review: I'm kind of surprised at all the negative reviews this album is getting. The 20th Century Masters CD series is not a comprehensive overview of an artists complete works. It's a variety of their most well known or biggest hits. If you are looking for a more complete collect, this album, with a CLEAR list of only 11 songs, is obviously not your choice. If you want a handful of great songs, this is a fantastic collection at a super price.

Review: good old time rock and roll most songs are short as they were back then it does have chuck berry's best wanted it for my music collection of the era i wont bore you with a history of the time, it's simple instruments good beats and lyrics

Title: Chuck-n-Roll!
Review: Some of the greatest 50's rock songs ever.... and a lot of the suckiest! Their job is to sell music, not just good music. The good sorta out weighs the bad.
