TEAKS : The greatest gift from nature

Everything starts from teak fields grown by the Northeast locals. They are valuable resource growing together with people in the region; they have been grown, taken care of, cut, and then replanted for years and years. Unlike teaks from other areas in the world, Thai teaks possess unique golden brown texture which can be seen even with naked eyes. We choose teaks due to their moist resistance. Their durability and lightweight are more than suitable to be utensil material.

HANDMADE : The greatest gift from local artisans

Handcraft has been passed down for many generations in Northeast of Thailand. In the old days, people used coconut to carve utensils used among families. The skill has been sharpened until today where those household utensils are turned into high quality ergonomically designed products made of teaks: finer carving, neater sanding, and better materials. The local artisans keep brainstorming, thinking, designing, and improving their every piece of wooden gifts to every customer. This way, they can share the true value of handmade products with the whole world.

HEARTCRAFTED : The greatest gifts from humans

Feeling grateful for every support that keeps their families together, they use their heart to carve utensils instead of only saying thank you. Back when they had no supporter, they to run around selling their products, leaving the kids and elders home. Now that they have a little space to sell, they can build warmer and bigger families. Some even managed to take their kids to work and teach them how it is like to work by heart. People in the photo above are Joi and Noon, her daughter. They now work in the same place so they have more time together as family. Their warmth and strong bond also bring happiness to the entire workplace.

Pon

Our beloved Pon is the head of the group who used to work overseas for years. There, he experienced interesting skills that he thought could be applicable to the artisans in his hometown. After he came back, he started to gather the craftsmen and shaped their carving skill. He had a wide range of knowledge about trees and types of wood, and decided to use teak instead of coconut shell. The products hence became much more durable, light, and moist resistant, suitable for a variety of cooking tasks.

He always tried his best developing both the goods and artisans, and that resulted in a finer quality of products and more proficient craftsmen. Now, he doesn't only provide job opportunities and train his group members, but also helps support their children in need of tuition fee, stationery, and school uniform; everyone feels deeply grateful and carefree enough to design, carve, and better the products with all their heart and both of their hands.

100% EASY TO TAKE CARE Wash them with warm water and soft sponge to preserve their qualities. We recommend you dry them by hanging. If there is something sticking to our spoons, just put them in the water for 5 minutes before washing. Please store them in dry place when not used. When teak products are exposed to oil and heat, their color normally becomes darker, but they are still perfectly useable. Oil them occasionally when feel dry to prevent crack.

Title: Very good for yeast stirring and feeding. Great for wide-mouth jars.
Review: Pros:Solid, sturdy, very easy to handle and control.Reaches every bit of my wide-mouth jar and can scrape the sides thoroughly.Visible increase in yeast rise, oxygenation, and stirring efficiency even with lower hydration than I used before.Very easy to clean(when fresh) but don't let dough dry to it itCons:Closest thing to a con I can find is that dried dough would just fall/flake off my plastic scraper but will cement itself to this if I let it dry on it, but it cleans off so easily when wet I am reluctant to call this a con as much as it is a slight adjustment to methods when changing tool material. Wonderful tool.Honestly I'm shocked by just how big of a difference this made to being able to handle and feed my yeast. It showed a visible increase in activity and oxygenation over the previous method I was using to stir and feed.

Title: Great for sourdough
Review: Very good addition to the kitchen! I wanted something exclusively for my sourdough starter so it didn’t pick up scents from anything else, and I needed something narrow for the starter jar. It mixes well, cleans easily as long as I don’t let it sit, and is good for reaching the corners of my Cambro container when baking. Have oiled a few times and the wood looks great.

Title: Weird Utensil, that I love
Review: I am starting to build out a set of quality kitchen tools. I got this because it was made by the company that made America’s Test Kitchens most nightly rated wooden spoon (which I also bought), This is much less utilitarian day-to-day. However, I have always wanted something I could use in my mason jars for gluten free sour dough starters and in my enamel Dutch oven when I am working with more tender foods, but still need to keep the sides clear. This is very cool. I am going to use it tonight to make shrimp and grits, this is the perfect tool because it won’t scratch my nice cookware!

Review: I got this Spurtle for mixing my Sourdough Starter that I keep in a jar. It works great and I love how sturdy it is. My only complaint is that after using it several times, is that it's starting to split on the end. Over all it's a great product, and a big upgrade from the end of a wooden spoon, that I was previously using.
