Title: Memories shared with Luther there.
Review: When i'm hearing Luther Vandross on the format this collective arrangement brings back to memories and times in my life.Each song takes me to a different location and place in my mind and as on the voice & arrangement made on the CD I travel the memories one song at a time to the places I was at that date. And it's an emotional and exceptional, setting, no matter where, or when each song plays. And its place in my life and ties me, to my heart, love and forever ever this is who Luther Vandross is forever. Basically I feel in & out of Love & hearing Luther reminds me of my life journey.

Title: So Amazing, So Essential: Luther
Review: I can't express enough how happy I am about completing this "Essential".Before Mp3 players, I purchased the double CD album twice, a gift for one of my sons, & naturally one for me.I had only downloaded a few from this collection, then recently the offer to purchase the remaining tunes for less than my previous investments, was something I couldn't pass by.From "A House Is Not A Home" to "I Want The Night To Stay", the master is @his best. The duets are shared harmoniously, my favorites are with Cheryl Lynn, Marsha Wash, & the late beloved Gregory Hines."Here And Now" is a classic for the Bride & Groom, the backup vocals are harmony felt threefold that can bring one to tears of joy. The songs that long for love; "Anyone Who Had A Heart", "Since I Lost My Baby", & "Wait For Love" are favorites. Luther's voice relays not only his baritone vocals, but the pain felt when love is desired & lost.The legacy & precious gift he left us were songs that allow those of us to express to someone the feelings we quite can't say.Even the ones about betrayal of trust in a relationship give one courage to face a future without someone, & move on to embrace love again. "Don't Want To Be A Fool", & "It's Over Now", cover those bases quite well.In 2005 we lost a prodigy who's gift was composition & vocals of music. The wonderfulness of it all is the ingenious way we have created to preserve it.Thank you.

Review: Excellent CD. Really liked 75% (pretty good for a 2-CD set). Price was good and delivery was quick. Both discs loaded into iTunes fine, but Disc 1 did not play in car player. Contacted them and received a full refund. Great customer service! Thanks, "goHastings"!

Review: You know i have all of Luther on vinyl and this CD is perfect because it is jam packed with all the best tunes. Right from "the glow of love" when Luther was kicking it with CHANGE, and then through from "Never too Much" all the way through all of those classic 80 albums and then to the 90's and hey!, the voice is still the most beautiful thing you will ever hear. Long live the true god of soul!!!
