I'm the star right winger for the Vancouver Vipers, an unstoppable force, fast as lightning.
It's my dream come true, and I've worked my whole life to get here. I don't plan on giving it up, but if I want to keep playing hockey, I'm going to need all my limbs. To ensure my body parts stay intact, I only need to follow one simple rule: don't touch my captain's little sister.
Seems easy enough. She's snarky and bossy and has a mouth like a sailor. Truthfully, I'm bordering on the edge of terrified when she's around.
The problem is I've seen too much. Too much of her, inside and out. And now? Now I want more.
But she's my best friend's little sister, and nobody's ever been as off limits as Jennie Beckett is to me.
Her collection of toys is impressive, but I plan on showing her how a real man can make her vibrate without all the batteries. These hands can handle a hockey stick; surely they can handle her.
C'mon, Jennie. Play with me.
Play With Me is the second book the Playing For Keeps series but it can be listened to as a standalone. It is a mature hockey romance that contain lots of heat, swoon, laughs, and a ride on an emotional roller coaster!

Title: More Of This Please... Cozy Vibes Welcomed & Received!
Review: âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸.7ï¸â£5ï¸â£What?! I can't believe how much I've fallen in love with this series... these characters! I don't know if it's just that it's found me at the right time of year (fall, cozy vibes) or if it's a mood read (when your looking for something simple and comforting to read), but I'm totally smitten! So much so that I ordered the entire series. I've been reading on my Kindle, and I 1000% need physical copies in my collection. This 2nd book in the series is my favorite... so far. I liked it better than Consider Me because of Garrett. He was more toned down with the love-bombing, whereas Carter was ostentatious with it. Carter is a bit much. Garrett held more appeal, as he came off more realistic, with a believable amount of affection shown to his woman.I'm really enjoying Becka Mack's fmcs. Both Ollie (Consider Me) and Jennie (Play With Me) are written in a way that allows the reader to relate because they aren't built in a fantastical way that makes them come across as too perfect (except maybe to their men, ð). They are more down-to-earth, in a sense. Like, you could absolutely picture yourself grabbing a coffee and hanging out with them on a leisurely afternoon. I appreciate that. The found family in this series is really giving. It's done exceptionally well. The feelings of which are holding strong through each book. I've already started Unravel Me and feel certain this author is maintaining the direction she set out in. Sometimes, an author goes in a different direction over the course of a series, ruining the general flow they began with. That is not the case here. Becka Mack is consistent and reliable. That is greatly appreciated, ð! I think i may have found myself a new go-to author - one that I'll automatically buy anything she puts out. Pleased as punch about that. It's a rare occurrence. This was a wonderful, relaxed read. It never got boring even though it was a smidge on the long side. I didn't feel the length of this 2nd book like I did in the 1st. That was probably due to the interactions and the banter between the fmc & mmc. I felt like a fly on the wall. I was fully engaged and entertained throughout the story. This one definitely gave me moments where I forgot I was reading and just got lost in the story, caught up in whatever these characters were up to.This may be one of my favorite series now!

Title: ⨠4 â¨
Review: Play With Me was an entertaining and steamy hockey romance book. While, this can be read as a standalone it is part of an interconnected series, Playing for Keeps. So I would recommend just reading the prior book first for better context and backstory on certain characters. It is dual POVs of the main characters (Garrett Andersen and Jennie Beckett) and has some great tropes like: brotherâs best friend, friends with benefits and close proximity. I would suggest checking the content and trigger warnings before reading just in case. The overall premise was wonderful, but I will say that it did take me a bit to fully get into the story as it was a bit slow in the beginning. There were some amusing, sweet, angsty and heartbreaking moments as well, that I absolutely loved. The portrayal and discussions regarding grief, loneliness and self acceptance were beautifully written and handled as well. The one downside of this book was that there was a lot of repetitive dialogue and it definitely could have been shorter. The romance between Garrett and Jennie was absolutely beautiful. I loved their connection, banter and chemistry. Garrettâs respect and understanding of Jennieâs feelings and limitations was handled beautifully as well. The spice was also quite incredible as a lot of toys were used!Jennieâs backstory definitely made me tear up. Completely understandable why she was so afraid to let someone in and why her brother was so protective and overbearing as well. I loved her character development and overall journey but there were a few aspects that could have been more discussed upon in my opinion. While, there necessarily wasnât a third act conflict there was some miscommunication between them. The ending was a bit rushed as well, but still a wonderful conclusion and epilogue.Overall, just a delightful read!

Title: The golden example of a perfect brother's best friend trope!!!
Review: 5âï¸I love when I read a book and my excitement and giddiness for the book doesnât dissipate the further I read, and thatâs how I felt with this book.this book has a smattering of amazing tropes: brothers best friend, forced proximity, sports romance, friends with benefits, friends to lovers, and secret relationship!Jennie was a super strong fmc who had a lot of personal/internal struggles to overcome. Garrett was a literal angel and was there for her every step of the way, almost defying all the odds stacked against who people thought he was. I wouldnât even really call this one a âreformed playboyâ trope because he was gone for Jennie from the beginning, and âchanging his waysâ was never something that had to happen within the story.this one was more emotional than the first book, but I felt like I got such a deeper connection and understanding of the characters because of it and I appreciate that so much!!also the pacing of this book felt so much better than the first book! donât get me wrong, I absolutely adore Ollie & Carterâs story, but this book just felt overall better to me as far as progression and pacing. still a long book but it never felt like I was dragging myself through finishing it. I really didnât feel like there was as much filled/unnecessary chapters in this book like there was in the first.Carter is still one of my favorite characters in this series and brings so much comedic relief I was actually giggling at 90% of his cameos in this book. can we also talk about the found family vibes within this series? THEY ARE AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, AND STRONG AF. a new player was introduced and even though his interactions were sparse, I already am loving him. plus Adam??? say less. I am overly excited for the upcoming books in this seriesð¥°
