In Best Friends, Occasional Enemies, New York Times bestselling author Lisa Scottoline and her daughter, Francesca Serritella, are the best of friends―99.9% of the time!
They're number one on each other's speed dial and they tell each other everything―well, almost everything. They share shoes and clothes―except one very special green jacket, which almost caused a catfight.
In other words, they're just like every mother and daughter in the world. Best friends and occasional enemies.
Now they're dishing about it all: their lives, their relationship, and their carb count.
Lisa on Being a Mom: Motherhood has no expiration date. Francesca lives in the city, and I worry about her all the time. My daughter moved out, so why am I still lactating?
Francesca on Being a Daughter: My mother is always right. Just ask her.

Title: Entertaining Take on Women's Life Situations
Review: I've read all of Scottoline's mysteries. One book left me somewhat unsettled but the two books she's written on her life and women's lives in general have been very entertaining and often hit the nail on the head for me. I liked this book so much I bought copies for my daughter and one of my best friends. It's written in short chapter essay form so you don't have to worry about getting to the ending. You can just read it for fun and smile, especially from her observations on "women of a certain age". My daughter loved it, so it's not just for "women of a certain age". Any woman of any age will get a kick out of her foibles with her house, her daughter, her mother and her menagere of pets. You'll probably see yourself in some of the essays.

Title: fun and enjoyable
Review: I loved that this was made up of essays, so I could pick up and read whenever I had a few minutes instead of waiting until I had more time to devote to reading.

Title: funny truths
Review: Lisa Scottoline shares the page with her daughter in this extremely funny observation of family life. She continues her narrative from previous similar works to describe the brutally honest efforts we all go through trying to make the unconditional-love-relationships endure, despite everyday roadblocks. I would always recommend Scottoline's novels, but this non fiction endeavor reveals how she hones her craft so well. Wish my daughter would read it; encourage all mothers and daughters to share with each other.

Title: Lisa (and Francesca) Delight Once Again
Review: I own the previous two books of Lisa's "adventures", and now this one, and all have been delightful reads. If you are a fan of Lisa's Sunday newspaper column, you know what I mean. Lisa, and Francesca, write about the things that happen to most women but we are embarrassed or reluctant to talk about. Not so Lisa and daughter...and in doing so, they make us feel that they're okay and we're okay just as we are, flaws, mistakes and everything in between. The book also contains some poignant stories that will tug at your heartstrings because we can all relate, such as losing a beloved pet. No matter what your age, you will enjoy this book.

Title: Very Funny
Review: I enjoyed this book as well as the previous one she wrote. Its a compilation of nonfiction articles that she has written for a local newspaper. I am not a fiction reader, and I have never read one of her fiction novels (although I've heard they are very good and there is a huge fan-base), but I enjoyed these books. Funny, down-to-earth, you can relate to her trials and tribulations, especially if you are woman. Definitely recommend, you'll get a laugh!

Title: Laugh out loud at time funny
Review: I love the humor of L Scottoline in all her books and this copulation does not disappoint. I admit I enjoy her much more than her daughter's readings, maybe with age she will be as great as her Mom. Love her takes how women never throw away their bras lol and many more trials and tales of being a woman in this century.
