I’m new to FryAway. Which product do I use?

Use FryAway Pan Fry if you fry with smaller quantities of oil—2 cups at a time.

If you use larger amounts—8 cups at a time—choose FryAway Deep Fry.

But if you want more flexibility, FryAway Super Fry is your best bet. It comes with a scoop, and you can solidify 1 cup of oil per 1 scoop of FryAway, for up to 1 ½ gallons of oil!

How do I know when to use FryAway?

FryAway works its magic when the used cooking oil is still hot. Turn off the heat sprinkle and stir in FryAway until fully dissolved, then let cool and discard. That’s it!

Can I make the oil solidify faster?

Once FryAway has been mixed into the oil, the faster it reaches room temperature, the faster it will solidify. We recommend enjoying your fried goodness while FryAway does the dirty work!

Can FryAway be used on animal fats, like bacon or meat drippings?

Yes! Start with HALF of the recommended amount of FryAway for the quantity of grease you want to treat. Remember if there is liquid mixed in with the oil (as with meat drippings), FryAway will act like a magnet and only solidify the oil. The remaining liquid/juices can be safely discarded down the drain.

Solidified an entire deep fryer worth of grease and made it easy to dispose of. It is a little pricey, but worth it for the couple of times we will use monthly.

Review: This is my first Amazon review. I first saw this product, like many of us, on Shark Tank and it immediately caught my eye. I thought to myself "maybe one day" and that day has come.It's very simple to use and easy to discard once the oil is solid. It may take some time for it to harden but once it does, you won't be disappointed. I will definitely order these again, we'll done!

Title: Properly get rid of your oil!
Review: Never know what to do with your left over oil? Now there’s a way to get rid of it! This product is fast and easy to use, the directions are fairly simple to follow. Sometimes you do have to heat the oil longer but it’s nothing to worry about. I will say do not throw bacon grease in there, I made the mistake and it did not harden. It is pricey but I usually wait to have a huge pan of oil where I can make it worth while.

Review: I had no idea this product existed until I saw an ad and got curious. Before FryAway, we'd pour cooled oil into a container and then put it in the freezer. Once the oil is frozen into a block, we're drop the block into a compostable bag and then into the green bin for the city to pickup. In the winter, the block would stay frozen and not be a problem. During the not so cold days and depending when in the day the green bin truck would come, the block would melt and make a mess in the green bin.That was before... This is today...Right after doing the last cook with the oil and while the oil is still really hot, I poured the pouches (it comes with two) into the oil and stirred it well. Our fryer holds 3L of oil so we used both pouches. As the oil cools, it turns into solid gummy jelly. Took about 3 hours and that it much quicker than freezing the oil. Then it much easier to dump that brick of jelly into a compostable bag (and keep the green bin clean) or just plain dump the jelly blob straight into the green bin. Makes the process much cleaning in the kitchen and not worry about spills or splashes.It has become my new favorite way of getting rid of old oil besides freezing it.

Review: I've used this, and varying size packs, on many nights of cooking. It helps for an easier clean up after frying food in oils. Simply pour in when done, let it sit on the stove to cool and throw out the solidified oil.I wish there was an option to buy a box or bin with a spoon or cup to personally vary the amounts instead of buying individual packs. This one is good for big pots, others can cover frying pans etc.
