Review: We made some friends Godiva chocolate martinis! Never made a martini, and needed proper martini glasses….they were perfect. Also put them in the dishwasher and they did fine.

Title: Truth: They're nice looking- BUT I'M AFRAID TO USE THEM AND LOSE THEM!!!
Review: Seriously, they look chic and dainty- especially with the right garnish and picks, BUT they are so thin, that I am honestly afraid to use them! They are so thin, that with a slight error in force during a toast, these lovely glasses will most likely shatter in your grasp. Whoever said they feel comfortable putting these on top shelf in the dishwasher, either got a different set than I, or their dishwasher uses bubbles and fluff because there is no way these will survive the slightest force in the dishwasher- at least not my dishwasher! HAND WASHING with warm soapy water and a tender yet firm hand (for no slippage) is imperative, and make sure nothing else is in your sink to remotely add the risk of clanging or banging against these glasses. Honestly, they feel so fragile and thin. To be extra careful and cautious, I would recommend to avoid making real contact when making a toast, just raise your glass and shout, "Here! Here!" If your looking for chic, dainty Martini glasses for a special event, then, ok, try them out- after all, they are well priced, after all. Hope this helps. 🙂

Title: Light, Strong, with Tiny Bubbles
Review: These martini glasses came packed extremely well, in a custom form-fitting foam insert, in a nice retail presentation box. The glasses arrived in perfect condition, and are evenly proportioned, light, and surprisingly strong. I know this, because I tipped one over when I was unpacking them and it just went 'clink' and didn't break or chip. All these nice things to say, yet only four stars? That's because, as strong as this glass is, it has defects within it. I did my best to capture what are tiny little bubbles in the glass. At first I thought it was dust, but when it wouldn't wipe off, I looked closer. There are bubbles in every glass, and the best glass has only a few, and the worst glass has over a dozen. The price is very reasonable for these glasses, and I'm guessing that's because the manufacturer knows about the bubbles. Know you do too. If you are looking premium martini glass feel, without premium martini glass price, then this could be a good solution for you. If you are looking for perfection, you're going to have to pay a little bit more. If you don't really care, then you can save some money and step down in quality.
