Review: Very light and easy to use. Limited ability to manage larger branches. Trimming hickory it starts to bog down at about 3 inches. That being said I was comfortable climbing a ladder with it. This is a handy tool for light work and not a substitute for a two cycle chain saw. It’s plastic and not particularly well built. For the price, I would buy it again.

Review: Bought this as a lightweight addition to my property maintenance setup. I have to say out of the box I was impressed, cut like a little banshee. I was using it to cut up some scrap 2x4 for the wood stove and after about 20 cuts the chain was dull, even using a few drop of bar and chain oil every 5-6 cuts. I quickly wore into the bar after about 40cuts and realized bar an chain oil wasn’t enough, so I’ve been using heavy duty gear oil since flipping the bar to avoid causing further damage on the bottom of my bar. After switching to the second provided chain and using heavy duty gear oil every 3-4 cuts the second chain seems to be fairing a little better seeming to hold up to about 30-40 cuts before becoming noticeably dull. The bar is made from a very undurable material and unless you oil the thing every 10seconds of continual use she’s gonna wear out fast. Wish I hadn’t missed my return window or I would’ve sent this thing back, just hope I’ll be able to find a bar and chains for the thing as I don’t think what came with the kit is going to hold up for much longer unless I jerry rig some sort of oil feed to the thing. Thing ripped at first but a month and a half in I’m not super satisfied with how it’s holding up.
