Review: This review is for the Analog Dial version of the Effing Candy Thermometer (and frying oil too) 2-pak.I tested against my meat thermometer and it seems to be accurate within about 5 degrees F by comparison. The dial is clear, the probe is plenty long enough for any pot, the side clip to hold it to the pot works good and the rotating pointer on the bezel to mark your target temp is a nice feature. The item was packaged in a box with bubble wrap and foam so was in perfect condition. It came with a poorly translated instruction sheet but simple enough to get the gist. It is made in China PRC not ROC, hence the very low price, if that matters to you.My only complaint would be that the graduation lines on the analog dial are hard to read between the numbered temps, at least with my eyesight, but with the bezel pointer set to my desired temp it doesn't really matter.Here's a tip: the red plastic cap on the end of the probe is a safety protector for shipping and meant to be removed before use. You don't need to keep it to put back on between uses either. Don't leave it on or it could wind up in whatever you are measuring the temp of.

Review: Great tool and the clip does not get as hot as the pot which makes it easier to move around. It was easy to adjust as well.
