NOT YET follows an experienced emergency physician, Jeff O’Driscoll, MD FACEP, through a series of shared-death experiences and his efforts to help others through the most harrowing challenges of their lives. NOT YET focuses particularly on Dr. O’Driscoll’s twenty-year friendship with Jeff Olsen, a man who had a powerful near-death experience (NDE) at the time of the car accident that took his wife, his son and his leg. While Olsen passed through his NDE, Dr. O’Driscoll saw and communicated with Olsen’s deceased wife, Tamara. The first year of Jeff & Jeff’s friendship was filled with challenges and powerful lessons. O’Driscoll’s candor and vulnerability are compelling. His story is transformative.

Title: A gift to us from a gifted author.
Review: This is a very good book. Expecting to like it, I loved it. Dr ODriscoll has makes a valuable contribution to the literature describing near death and after death events. But the book is much more. His reflections regarding his own life are profound. His empathy in regarding the lives of others is moving. His writing is accessible and fluid. The strength-to-weight ratio of his prose is extraordinary. Clearly, this is an author who has had the grace and willingness to remain in experiences and relationships sufficiently unsettling that most of us would fend them off. He enriches his understandings (for his sake and our good fortune) with an impressive degree of personal study and scholarship. His alertness in noting the nuances of the events he shares, along with the depth and maturity of his insights, are genuine gifts to us.

Title: That this is a completely honest and bravely told account of this mans life and experiences that he has lovingly shared.
Review: This book is so touching and uplifting. This book is full of love and hope. My husband and I have both worked with amazing man during years in the hospital. My husband as a nurse in the ER alongside Dr. O’Driscoll and myself as a tech when ever an art line was needed. Our youngest daughter was the recipient of his kind and loving care when she had a bad eye injury at age two while he was still a resident. His nature is one that brings calm to everyone around him. He has told his story in this book in a manner that truly reflects who he is and how very committed he is to helping ANYONE he comes in contact with. This book helps you to understand the true love of Christ and how blessed our lives can be if we just extend ourselves. I’m a slow reader and I read this book in four and a half hours. I just could not put it down. Anyone wanting to be encouraged and comforted and is seeking hope and peace within themselves should read this book. Really just everyone should read this book. It is a truly honest and beautifully written book. I was emotional throughout the entire book.

Title: ER RN who intersected paths and never knew.
Review: Writing this now seems surreal. 1989, I was clerk in an ICU where Dr. Jeff was training as a resident and we never spoke outside of passing orders. 1997 I was again in the same arena with Dr. Jeff; placed to do a preceptorship in the ER trauma center just two months after Jeff, Jeff and Tamara met. I didn’t ask to be placed in the ER and felt like a random fluke. Others were mad because I got the position. I almost gave the opportunity away. 2001/2002 and 2008/2009 I had periods of working alongside Dr. Jeff. We never shared our experiences and our interactions were somewhat aloof of the others. I can remember my last conversation with him. I politely objected to his order. He looked at me with some perplexity, paused for a moment, almost agitated, and then willing to change the trajectory of his order. I didn’t say much I believe he felt my heart. I left my ER RN position after 11 years to be a psychiatric nurse practitioner.2016 I met Jeff Olsen in a training of personal development. He didn’t speak about his NDE He had my attention as an experienced ER/trauma nurse. 89-94 I also worked in a head and injury and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. As Jeff Olson walked in the room, I knew the story was tragic, and paid attention to his words, while his countenance spoke volumes.I never really thought about either of the Jeff’s until 2022. My path took off in another direction.2022 I saw Jeff Olsen and Dr. Jeff at Driscoll on a program and my jaw dropped as I listened. My lived experiences came into lucid comprehension of hearing the voices of instruction over my RN and NP career.March 2023 I had a sudden impulse to email Dr. Jeff A Driscoll. I told him a sampling of my experiences. He was very validating and invited me to chat. We haven’t talked yet. I told him I wanted to read his book and I’d be back.September 2023 I read Knowing by Jeff Olsen and just finish Dr. Jeff’s Not Yet yesterday.I can attest to my experiences that mirrors, everything they are communicating, and I never really knew who to tell. Jeff and Jeff probably couldn’t pick me out of her room, while I have been a traveler on the same journey of the collective consciousness. ( I have other terms for the experience, but leaving the potential options for the reader.)Jeff Olsen said to pay attention to themes and patterns of life. The universe has my attention! NOW!Thank you Dr Jeff for stepping into the light, risking much in the process while trusting the relevance your story has too many others. The stories/experiences communicated through the intersections of your life’s travels, has validated my experiences in a more profound way. I told Dr. Jeff in an email, “ I never saw the people. I could hear the voices and messages of instruction.” I learned quickly the voice of “knowing“ had a trajectory of movement that graced all the participants in the rooms and halls of hospital, ERs, and trauma centers.I too learned that listening allows miracles to manifest. I BELIEVE!Read Jeff Olsen’s Knowing as a companion to Not Yet. The universe tells me to share this NOW!

Title: Read in silence, your Soul will enjoy your new awareness
Review: This book is about a man’s capacity to connect, on daily basis, on a normal ( non meditative) state, with the Source, the Divine. He clearly tells us what a blessing it it, but also, what a load ( i don’t want to use the word “curse”).As a doctor working in trauma emergencies, he sees/ feels souls leaving the bodies, and can communicate somehow with them. What he tells about the “ other side of the Veil” is similar to most NDExperiencers say....of course! This leads to an very intense search into Christianity and its books, which annoyed me a little, even if the author acknowledges the universality of his experience. What is surprising, is to realise how many people around him have a similar capacity to “ connect”.All of them, in a way or another, become source of Love for the rest of us.That’s an amazing good thing to know.

Title: A courageous, outrageous spiritual adventure
Review: Jeff O'Driscoll would, doubtless, deplore being called a saint, so I'll demur. But this is a spiritual chronicle unlike any other, of the many I've read or heard, because of his extreme volunteerism in taking on the suffering of others. He's a medical mystic without the characteristic treacly meandering. This is an intellectually- and emotionally-challenging book which is equal parts audacious and humble in the questions and tentative conclusions Dr. O'Driscoll poses for all souls.

Title: Answers I knew
Review: It was wonderful to hear another to write of things I have felt, heard and experienced in my life. It, however was a bit repetitive and although Dr. O'Driscoll wrote that these events are spiritual in nature it was very much influenced by his religion of choice.

Review: I looked forward to this book but was very disappointed. It is full of thinly veiled self praise and a sickly beneveolence that does not ring true. The author lacks distance and is too eager to write about himself and his benevolence. Pity because it is such an interesting subject. I found myself unable to finish the book and regret having bought it.

Review: Di tutti i libri relativi a esperienze di premorte che abbia letto, questo è sicuramente il più profondamente spirituale. In realtà va ben al di là della "semplice" esperienza di premorte, abbracciando un range di esperienze spirituali estremamente vasto.

Review: This book offers a rare combination. It provides insights into extraordinary experiences revealing the infinite and loved nature of life yet is written by a man who is professionally trained to be observant and dispassionate. This perspective gives the book a unique power. It is devoid of anything sensational and the author makes no claim whatever to specialness or unique virtue. Indeed, his account is humble and openly reveals the struggle and burden that his experiences have brought. Yet what is disclosed here is life-altering for those who are open and receptive. It is to be welcomed that Dr O'Driscoll has chosen to write of his experiences.I warmly recommend his book for those seeking a life of peace and hope.

Review: NOT YET is the story of Dr. O’Driscoll’s friendship with Jeff Olsen, a man who had near-death experience following the car accident in which he lost his wife, his son as well as his leg. While he passed through his NDE, Dr. O’Driscoll saw and received information from Mr. Olsen’s wife, Tamara, now sadly passed. The doctor and the patient became close friends and began having long discussions about life, death and the hereafter and although they encountered many trials and tribulations, they both learned powerful lessons.Having read and listened to many who have had NDEs, some of them medical practitioners, I had never come across a physician who could communicate with the dead. To me, it is a mysterious gift that I can only envy. But Dr. O’Driscoll’s sincerity, humility and openness are what makes this book so beautifully uplifting. It offers great hope, not just to trauma patients but to anyone bereaved and missing loved ones.
