Title: Authentic Mexican recipes that taste as good as they look in the book. Unique recipes.
Review: My whole family loves Mexican cuisine and most of us also like the drink that goes with it the best - Tequila! Now when I say Tequila I "mostly" mean mixed with something else to create some of the most wonderful tasting drinks. This book is great and has a ton of different Mexican dishes to create. I love the way the cookbook is laid out with detailed pictures to go along with each recipe. Just looking at these pictures make me hungry and thirsty. This cookbook like most are separated into different sections or categories which I love. They could have just put all the recipes one after another but creating sections is the way to go and makes finding something you saw a few days ago easier too.A lot of these recipes I had never tried before and the same with the drinks. One thing to take into consideration is that most of these recipes don't take your average ingredients that you'll just have in the fridge or pantry. Most of food in this cookbook is going to require something you'll need to get at the store, at least that was the case for me. These aren't simple, ready-to-eat in 30 minutes recipes that's for sure. This is even more evident once you start going through the drink recipes as just about every one of the recipes requires something either I don't have, haven't had in years, or have never heard of. Again, not your run of the mill drinks here. What I found fun to do was pick out a recipe that everyone wants to try. Make a list of what you're going to need from the grocery including if you're going to indulge in a drink(s). Now you're all set with exactly what you need to make some of the best tasting Mexican food. This is a hardback book and not only is it a wonderful cookbook but it also just looks great sitting on the coffee table. I don't know how many people have picked it up and starting to go through it finding things they want to try.

Title: Great cookbook for any lover of Tacos & Tequila
Review: I ordered this cookbook without even looking at the description because I LOVE both tacos (we make three kinds of tacos at Thanksgiving instead of turkey) and tequila, so it was a no-brainer. I kind of expected it to be a somewhat small, softcover thing that had little more than some basic recipes. When I received it and pulled it out of the box, I literally said, out loud, âOh, wow! This is a *real* cookbook.âLetâs start with the look and feel of the cookbook. It has a hardcover that is thicker than any of my other cookbooks, and the pages are of thick paper. It has a real quality feel to it. Even though the cover says, âTacos & Tequila,â it screams, âI am fun, and you want to drop what youâre doing and join this party.â What you will find inside is gorgeous food photography and unique recipes for tacos, fixings, and cocktails, plus an appendix full of things to make that are ingredients in some of the recipes, such as Birria, Blistered Jalapeno Syrup, and Cinnamon Syrup. And, these are not your basic dishes or cocktails; they are things you would find in a great restaurant. My husband and I did a random flip through the book and decided to make whatever we landed on, so thatâs what dinner was last night. We made Popcorn Chicken Tacos, Salsa De Aguacate, Pico De Gallo, Cilantro Crema, and Cantaritos (drink). We did not make our own tortillas, but the recipes for corn and for flour tortillas are in there. It was all delicious! This is a really good cookbook; with a few tweaks, it could be outstanding. First, I wish the Table of Contents actually listed the recipes in each section with the corresponding page number. Sure, you can look in the Index, but with some of the names, I have no idea if it is a Taco, a Fixing, of a Cocktail, so itâs not as helpful. Second, I do wish that the authors had offered a little blurb about each dish, especially the ones that I had never heard of, such as Pikliz, Chilorio Tacos, and XâNipek. I would have loved to learn through this book about the history and meaning behind each dish. And, third, I wish the authors noted at the bottom of each recipe in the Appendix which recipes those things could be used in. For example, the Cinnamon Syrup is used in three drinks: Drunken Rabbit, Shake Your Tamarind, and Sparkling Paloma. If that information had been available on the page of the recipe for the Cinnamon Syrup, I would be able to decide if it was worth it to make the syrup. These are all really just niceties that, to me, would elevate this cookbook even more. But, even without them, this Tacos & Tequila cookbook is really good. Canât wait to try more recipes!

Title: So many recipes
Review: Vibrant is right! This book is full of gorgeous photos framing dozens of recipes for both drinks and eats. The book is as much a coffee table book as it is a cook book. Everything looks delicious and the recipes are easy to follow and clearly laid out. Way better than reading 40 paragraphs of backstory on one of the recipe websites. This review was for "Tacos and Tequila: 100+ Vibrant Recipes That Bring Mexico to Your Kitchen Hardcover â February 6, 2024"

Title: High Quality Cookbook you don't have to hide in a cabinet.
Review: This cookbook was a great surprise when it arrived. I'm really happy with the quality and all the sharp glossy photos of the recipes. So far I've made about a dozen different dishes and I've loved all of them. Most of the recipes are fairly simple, but there are several that require multi-day setup and planning. I like that you can really make a terrific meal that you can show off to your friends and family. If you know anyone looking for high quality authentic recipes for food AND drinks, this is the cookbook for them. It makes a great gift. I already ordered a second copy for a friend!
