Review: You can use a colander or a mesh strainer or a "spider" but this works best. The handle is long enough so you are not scalded by the steam, and the stainless steel is easy to wash and put away. No need to stack or hand it up due to its size. Fits in the usual crock with the spatulas and tongs. And it works like a breeze. The turned up edge fits against the sauce pan or pot and nothing gets by it. As I say, works great.

Title: Seems made for left handed folks?
Review: The quality seems fine but my old hand strainer had a rim to fit over the side of the pot on both sides and this one is only made to fit the left side so I have to hold it with my left and I'm just not used to it so it's a little awkward.

Review: This is awkward to use. Unless you have a small enough pot that you can drain with one hand while holding this with the other is just doesn’t fit right. Also the food often times will spill out over this because it’s just not wide/tall enough
