Title: Perfect!
Review: Sizing was perfect. Great to see a wide hiking boot. Definitely accommodates a thicker hiking sock without feeling too tight. As others have noted, no break-in period required. Comfortable right out of the box. Relatively light weight too. Love these boots, looking forward to many more hikes in them!

Title: Why haven't I bought these before?
Review: There's a reason they are called MOAB! It's true. I generally wear a size 7.5 shoe and I bought a size up for my last Camino and these were perfect. Roomy toe box and super comfy! There are slightly heavy but nothing that I didn't get over quickly. They gave me the ankle support I needed and had thick enough soles where I didn't feel any stones or branches underneath. I would definitely buy these again and the price is great for what you get!

Title: Lightweight, great support and traction, Runs a little hot
Review: I’m an avid hiker and runner who up until now relied on their running sneakers (with an extra pair of socks or two) for even rigorous or wet hikes. I have a high arch and a bone spur on the back of both my heels that make finding shoes very difficult: lack of support leaves my hips and knees aching and the wrong back to the shoe leaves me bloody, so I don’t like to waste time and money if I find something that works ok.This winter, though, I’m planning a hike in icy mountain conditions plus need a new pair of boots for regular snow days in NYC, so decided it was time to bite the bullet. I did a lot of research and picked these to try first and I am so glad I found these! Thank you to all the reviewers here for your help! These are much lighter in weight then I thought they would be. I am somewhere between a 7.5 and 8 in shoes and went with the 8. They fit perfectly: not too snug but not at all loose. It’s hard to describe- they secure around your ankle and then they’re so light, they sort of just gently cradle around your foot. They don’t feel “cushy” like my sneakers but my feet feel supported and are completely protected from feeling the impact of hitting the ground.I took them for an inaugural 6mile hike in the small mountain reservation near my parents house in NJ, without any breaking in. The arch support is great, no aches and pains in my joints or feet. Miraculously no blisters, either. The conditions here are currently unseasonably warm and very humid, with heavy ground cover of wet leaves and pools of mud. The traction on the wet leaves/rocky mountain terrain, even while being pulled by a German Shepherd, was fantastic. I didn’t slip at all and my feet stayed dry. Plus I discovered how nice it is to have some extra ankle support. These boots did run a little hot, which is why I gave four stars. I tend to run hot myself. The good news is that even though they felt a little hot, my feet didn’t sweat (I was sweating otherwise in the warmhumidity). These will be great boots for when the chill comes back and through the winter and early spring for both nature hiking and urban hiking through rain/snow.

Title: Good fit, good support and available in WIDE WIDTHS!
Review: I purchased these to replace my old "men's" leather Wolverine hiking boots. We are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon and needed some light weight, comfortable hiking boots, however they will mostly be worn for hiking the woods in Northern WI where we live. I have wide feet and high arches, so always have a very hard time finding women's boots in a wide width. I usually end up purchasing a men's 6.5 or 7 and putting in arch supports, I so was very excited to find a women's hiking boot, in a wide width, and with arch support. I usually wear a women's size 8 or 8.5 depending on how they run, so I purchased both a size 8 and 8.5 for comparison. The 8 provided enough room for my toes in the width, but my big toe came a little too close to the edge of the boot. I don't like feeling the end of my shoe with my big toe when I walk and didn't want to depend on them stretching with wear. The 8.5 is a little loose, but better than too tight. They feel very comfortable right from the start. So far, I have only hiked a short distance in the woods around our house, but they were very comfortable, no aching feet or blisters. I am older and have started having problems with my arches and ankles. In time I may end up putting in special arch supports, but they so far feel very comfortable and feel like they will provide me with the support I need. The grip seems adequate, but were a little slippery though on wet leaves and rocks, but not as much as my insulated Wolverine's I wear in the winter. To be fair, we still had some melting snow in the woods that day, which can be a little icy and slippery. I avoided the usual spring time standing water, so can't comment on how waterproof they are. My socks did stay dry through the little bit of wet snow I walked through. What little mud I did get on them, brushed off easily the next day after it dried. I do wish they came in a darker color though, like the Moab 2 boots that are not waterproof, as I fear the light tan is going to look dirty and dingy pretty quickly. They are very expensive, but with my old foot challenges, overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone, especially if you have problem feet!

Title: Love These Shoes
Review: I ended up taking out the insert which was simple to do, and putting in a special insert from Timberland. But the shoe themselves, were comfortable right outside of the box! Extra roomy toe box, support on ankle is amazing. Love these

Title: Fantastic out of the box
Review: I needed to replace some Salomon hikers I've had for10 years and had been through several countries in Africa and Asia as well as treks through Europe. I had tried Merrells in the past and they never fit but I wasn't happy with the quality of the current Salomon line and just tried these on a whim.I was all ready with a roll of moleskin but these were so comfortable, there was no break-in needed. They look good, have great support and there was no sliding around the toe box. I've now done multiple 4-5 mile hikes (moderate by All Trails rating) and am still very happy with them.

Review: Antes usaba la marca Salomón y cambié por estas botas que en los descensos siento que no tienen tanto agarre y no me dan tanta seguridad, de lo demás son muy cómodas

Review: These definitely are my my favourite bootes. They are perfect for the winter and kept my feet warm. Excellent for people with wide feet like me. Lots of room for my orthotics. Lots of stability. They do have a stiff sole which is good if you have problems with your feet like I do. They wrap around your feet and there is no sliding in the boot . Perfect fit . Definitely recommend
