Title: Good read
Review: Worth the read. Great balance of dialogue and thought life. Don't care for the bribe to get a...very short extra chapter. Have to sign up for it. Don't like that. Was looking forward to Luna's story as she was in here more than Nova but will just keep waiting. I wish the author would be more diverse in the sexual exploits of her characters by not making them all use sex as casual. Maybe have one who isn't so free with herself. I feel like plot was a bit of a stretch. Not too many would take someone who did this to them but I rolled with it.

Title: The best FMC and all the feels
Review: I was very conflicted about my rating and reread several parts of the novel. I don’t like giving low ratings on books because I like to support writers especially those from the romance genre but there were too many unforgivable things in this novel. The MMC is not redeemable. He doesn’t grovel, he only feels really terrible about his betrayal. He never faces any consequences for his actions. The FMC is perfection. She’s my favorite type of heroine, one who has been beaten down by life but still tries to remain positive and put up a front of happiness even though she’s dying on the inside. She deserved better than everything that happened to her in the novel. I wish that she had cut her losses, changed her name and moved to Europe and eventually found love with a different guy. But with all of that, I still want to read more from this author. This novel was well-written and had some truly great moments that even made me tear up. Ultimately, this is what makes an author stand out for me: when they make me feel a lot and force me to reread parts to see if I’m not just seeing things too much from own worldview instead of seeing it from the character’s perspective. If anything, read it for the rage read as I know some feel that way while reading this 😂😂

Title: Revenge gone wrong
Review: Marcus Aurelius was quoted as saying, “The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury.” Unfortunately for our heroine, the hero must have not read this quote.The first chapter starts with the reveal of the revenge that the hero had already committed. He was out to destroy the heroine’s father(the father did wrong by the hero and his family) by releasing a sex tape of him and the heroine Stella(conveniently the angle of the sex tape shows only the heroine but there is some pretty serious dirty talk going on. The problem is that the only one really damaged by the tape was the heroine, who quite frankly has already had a pretty crappy home life. Basically, the tape was only going to be released if the father didn’t comply with the hero’s demands. The hero realizes too late that he actually loves the heroine, so the rest of the book is him trying to win her back. Meanwhile, the heroine undergoes some changes of her own and starts to shed her southern gentility for some good old fashion home truths.I was waiting for this release and Maya Alden has delivered another winner. She even leaves a bonus epilogue on her website. There are lots of great and not so great supporting characters in the story as well. Be warned that what the hero did was cruel and it takes him a couple of months to realize just exactly what he lost. The heroine suffers depression as a result of the hero’s betrayal, and her family has never been on her side. The sex scenes get steamy, and there is dirty talk, as that is a kink of the hero and the heroine. I love a cruel hero that has to grovel, and a heroine who finally locates her spine. I will be leaving a longer review on goodreads.

Title: best served cold
Review: Wow, what a whirlwind. I’m not going to lie, I would busted Noah’s knee caps. Despised him. What he did made me nauseous at times throughout the story. But that’s the amazing thing, it’s such a beautifully written story. I love it. I had soooo many feelings and the heartbreak I felt. I cried so much and healed some parts of myself. Truly is an amazing book. I read hundreds of books a year so sometimes I feel tone-deaf with emotions or it’s hard for me to feel things with books. ( I hyper fixate on genres of books and read several of the same til I burn out on it and switch it up) This got me.

I know there are a lot of people who wouldn't think that Noah groveled enough to earn Stella back but that woman grew so much in this book and he never got mad at her for being upset with him. He also knew he had a lot to make up for with this woman and I think he did a good job.The ow drama was great, as it always is with Ms Maya's books!! I am happy to see Aurora is doing well and I cannot wait to continue the series.

Review: This book brakes your heart in the best way and proceeds to mend it as well.I absolutely love all books from Maya, they are emotional, sweet and beautiful.She knows how to display all emotions and what humans are capable of and how to create a change in a character that doesn’t sound unrealistic.And this book was the best example. The MMC is very hard to love, but you will get there. The redemption is perfect. And the FMC - I absolutely love her, her reaction is soo relatable and her change throughout the heartbreak is amazing. Yes there was sadness, depression and dark thoughts, a total normal reaction, but that she got tougher and stronger was something I absolutely loved.If you love redemption, grovel, second chance and a happy ever after the whole series is for you.
