The New Benchmark

Take whatever preconceived notions you may have about pool robots and throw them out. The all-new Escape is here with groundbreaking technology to ensure that your pool is cleaned to a whole new level.

Onboard DC Motors

Escape’s low voltage DC motors operate on nearly 90% less power than old fashioned cleaners. While other pool cleaners can expend a massive 1800 watts of power, the Escape robot requires just 180 watts which is just 5 cents per hour.

Active Scrubbing Brush

For most pools, vacuuming isn’t enough to remove dirt and other stubborn build-ups attached to the pool’s floor. That’s why engineers equipped the Escape with the active scrubbing brush to deliver a new level of clean.

Continuous Tracks

Water between the wheels & pool surface results in slippage and lost efficiency. Escape takes a radical departure from the conventional wheel with continuous rubber tracks. No more slipping. No more wasted energy.

Massive Top-Load Filter

For a complete clean, your robot needs filtration that can handle debris of all size. Escape’s massive filter cartridge is easily accessed from the top. Messy, cumbersome debris bags used by traditional pool cleaners are a thing of the past.

Smart Navigation

Gone are the days of watching your robot aimlessly wander. Smart navigation and scanning software uses advanced algorithms to efficiently clean your pool. Escape’s ability to sense walls, ladders and drains delivers uninterrupted cleaning.

Title: A Tale of 2 Cleaners, Out with old, in with the new.
Review: So I have been suffering....and let me repeat this....suffering for over 5 years with a Kreepy Krauly Great White which retails for over $400 bucks. I have been looking at robotic cleaners for a while. This project came in 2 steps. 1) Eliminate most of the tree limbs around/above the pool dropping leaves in, and 2) Purchase a REAL robotic pool cleaner. Step one was completed this weekend. As many limbs as could be removed were cut, and above the pool is completely clear now. Step 2 started on Monday, I found this robotic vacuum out of the blue and it had several good reviews AND a $50 rebate, so I thought WTH, I might as well get it. Yesterday (Wednesday) the vacuum arrived, but I had work to do first. Three huge piles of tree limbs from the tree cutters to haul to the streets so the city waste will pick it up. 3 hours later I had the 2 piles next to the pool clear. Next I had to remove the winter net from the pool which in the past is the only defense against leaves and debris. Of course removing the net means all the debris stuck around the edges of the net most likely goes in the pool, which FYI already had a lot of debris in it because my Kreepy Krauly Great White refuses to go to the shallow end. EVER. So we have a pool full of debris and I removed the Great White and took pictures of it for its ebay auction. I opened the Dolphin Escape excitedly. I couldn't wait to try it. It was ready to go out of the box. Connected the power cable to the power supply after untangling the cord completely, dropped the thing in the water and hit start. 1 hour later, the pool looked like the photo I attached. Now, granted, it didn't get every single thing out on the first try. I ran it for a second cycle and went to bed and when I woke up I'd say 99 percent of the debris was totally gone. I was so happy. I pulled it out, opened the lid and found all that stuff in the debris canister. Easily emptied it, washed it with a hose, and put it back in the unit. I disconnected the power cable, untangled and coiled the cable onto the unit, and placed it upside down as instructed in my storage shed so it could get a nap after all the hard work. I can't say enough how pleased I am about this purchase. I also got the 4 year extended warranty available, which I encourage you to also do. I would say this is a huge win, factoring in of course it it lasts a long time. I'm thinking I'll have to do this maybe 2 or 3 times a week in the winter time but I may not even need the pool net anymore!EDIT: I noticed when the cleaner switches directions it leaves the ground and floats, popping a wheelie. I called maytronics and they said this is a feature, not a flaw. I find that difficult to believe, however since it still cleans properly every single time, I cannot hold it against them.Edit 7/20/17 - Unit is still working GREAT. I use it once a week, have had no problems. I will stress to you, buy the extended warranty. Getting an extended warranty on a pool cleaner is almost unheard of, and it's cheap, so buy it. But still this thing is running like a freaking champ!Fast forward to 2020- The unit still works great. My ONLY issue is the one design flaw with this thing and it is that it pops stupid wheelies every time it changes directions. This is definitely not a feature. When it's popping wheelies it's not cleaning.

Title: Great pool cleaner
Review: Hard to imagine the products that cost double this unit do that much more. Very pleased with the performance and ease of use. The lower cost units obviously didn’t have the quality and features. It’s relaxing to clean the pool now, even entertaining.

Title: WOW!
Review: Have had the Hayward pool cleaner for many years and thought it did a good job until my neighbor bought similar pool cleaner, she bought the Dolphin Nautilus. Cleans tile...does steps and picks the tiniest sediment all while continually scrubbing. Watched the video after saw neighbors for myself. The video is accurate. It does an amazing job. We ended up getting the Dolphin Escape because we have a lot of leaves from oak and mango trees and the only difference is Escape had larger basket for whatever it picks up. You will be amazed of how mush debris and sediment is in basket. It will run for 2 hours and then shuts off. Love it!

Title: It works great but note that it doesn't climb walls
Review: I had the impression from reading the description that it would still climb the pool walls but when I got it, the instructions specifically said it did not climb the walls as it was made for above ground pools. So a little bit of a bummer on that, but maybe that was my bad. Otherwise it works amazing, waaaay better than other robots I have used. This is the best one so far! Its also the most expensive one I have yet purchased. It has great suction and the brush really helps. It does act like it is going to climb the wall but then stops and goes back. Great cord design, it doesn't get in the way at all. It picks up dirt and debris really well, and you do need to make sure to clean it out after every use. It doesn't pick up the find dirt particles. Apparently you need a different filter for that. I found this out after getting it there is a pamphlet that talks about how they recommend purchasing the fine filter and using that for regular cleaning and the one that comes with it for initial cleaning to pick up larger debris. Another thing I was confused on was I thought this one could be controlled from an app but it does not. To confess I was reading looking at several models of these so I may have gotten confused as to what this one did and didn't do. Because all of this was not clear on the product description, at least not for me, I have knocked a star off from the overall rating.

Title: Worked great until it didn't.
Review: UPDATE - here is what you are looking at IF you decide to send it in for a repair estimate. First, shipping it back - cost us $75 at the UPS store. Got an email back from Maytronics saying if we want it back unrepaired, we'd have to pay another $95 - $30 for freight shipping and another $65 for their diagnostics (which told us the power supply was the problem - another $242 would be required for a new one, so total repair cost on the invoice they sent us - #337!! This cost us $729 when we bought it. Not a good return on investment when you calculate how many cleanings you actually got out of it before it broke. BUYER BEWARE. I will not recommend this brand to anyone. VERY disappointed with Maytronics quality.Like the title says - it is great when it works. It stopped working out of nowhere. Maytronics wants you to send it in for repair in the box it came in - so keep the box. They will also charge a minimum of $99. to fix it - I guess they'll charge even more if it's complicated to fix? - PLUS return shipping. We bought the insurance through Amazon and that was a huge hassle as well. Maytronics argued with us that it was out of warranty when it clearly wasn't. Have to buy another brand and it won't be this one.

Review: Died after a 15 months. No warranty no customer service. Nothing. Very very very poor & disappointing experience.

Customers say

Customers like the ease of cleaning and ease of use of the pool vacuum. They mention it works great, takes care of the smallest dirt, and is an inexpensive way to keep the pool decently clean. Some appreciate that it's a time saver. However, some customers have mixed opinions on the value for money, durability, vacuum quality, and suction power.
