Title: This is what they are for...
Review: The first set I received was destroyed. After reading my initial review, the seller proactively contacted me and sent another set. For packaging, Styrofoam is placed between each holder, then one sheet is wrapped around all four holders in a tight box. The first shipment came in a loosely packed outer box. Of course, the inner box slid back and forth inside the outer box and all of them were broken on arrival. The second shipment came inside a bubble-packed envelope and survived shipping. When the second shipment arrived, I shook it right away. I was immediately overjoyed that none were broken. However, I think dishes need better packaging.About these dishes...If you eat corn on the cob regularly, you know what a pain it is to add butter on a round plate. Over the years, I have positioned the butter between mashed potatoes and meat to keep it from escaping. These ceramic corn cob holders make a huge difference. They come in a set of four, but you only need one per table. No need to waste butter with multiple dishes, just butter them cobs up and put them on your plate. I plan to carry the set to family events with multiple tables. Have you ever tried rolling a corn cob in butter on a paper plate? It's a little funny, frustrating, and not ideal.The plates are ceramic, so they are heavy. That's good because I don't want the tray sliding around when I'm rolling it in butter. It's way better than plastic. Each ceramic plate has feet (see picture) and a textured corn cob design inside the dish. The edges of each cob holder have a different color. I am not sure this is a stylish choice, but it may help me determine which table it was on if one comes up missing.Using these for corn on the cob will reduce the mess and frustration around a crowded table. The concept is a necessity. The seller is helpful and proactive. 5 stars.

Title: Perfect size, very charming
Review: These are exactly the perfect size to hold an ear of corn, and I love them because the shape doesn't get in the way of corn cob holders either. I love that the inside texture looks like corn too. These little trays are very charming. I think the most useful part is when I butter the corn; I use a lot of butter, so on a normal plate it would just spread out but in a dish like this the butter collects at the bottom and all I have to do is rotate my corn in the dish to re-coat it in the butter. I have no complaints about any aspect of this product, I think they are very charming and they feel like good quality. None of the color came off in the dishwasher either witch is a good sign. Overall I would recommend, these are very nice.
