Title: Perfect for state camp ground fire pits!
Review: I bought this primarily to go over the fire pit at state campgrounds since they're always so large. Finding a circular grate at 34" or so is not cheap. I just finished using this for our last camping trip of the season and I'm really impressed. We tossed it over the fire pit and it fit perfectly with no overhang. Primarily we used the legs, but a few times we also retracted the legs and just plopped it right on top of the fire pit as well. I cooked some peppers and onions directly on the grate as well as items wrapped in tin foil (reheated). We also used it as a stove top for our cast iron skillets. We had two 12 inch cast iron skillets sitting on either side and it held up really well. I did notice a bit of a dip that formed after a few days, but it still seems pretty solid, and a friend who has a similar grate (but one that attaches to a pole) said that it's pretty normal for that to happen.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this grill.

Title: Very useful, sturdy and huge
Review: I love the size of this grill. Tons of space--much bigger than it looks in the picture. It is quite heavy, but for the car camping we do, that is no problem. We have a Camp Chef stove and this, which allows for a wide variety of cooking, and we aren't limited in what we can prepare. I didn't originally think of this, but bring a small shovel with you so that you can make sure that the coals underneath this are at the right distance from the grill (i.e., you wouldn't want the coals to high, so if you can shovel the old ashes out before making a fire, you'll get a better cook).

Review: Great over the fire grill. Perfect fit and fun way to have dinner. We left the legs folded up when we put it over the pit. We also used a grill mat for easier clean up. Great quality, sturdy and highly recommended! You can load up as much food as you can fit on it and it will not bend. The price was great too!

Title: Awesome grill for the price
Review: This grill is very convenient as a temporary grilling set up. I really like the quality of it, specially for the price. I wish the legs were a little bit shorter since I normally need to raise the surface where I place the coals so I can get the temperature hot enough. The size is perfect since it can accommodate food for a large group, but it is still small and light enough to be easily transportable.

Title: Sturdy enough for a lobster pot
Review: We built a round fire pit in our yard, mostly for keeping warm on cool nights but also for cooking.After spending a vacation in Maine, we discovered that there are fewer things better than cooking boiled lobster over an open fire. If we wanted to recreate that experience, that meant we needed more than a simple grill that could support hamburgers and other lightweight items - we needed something that could support a pot with gallons of water and 3 or 4 lobsters.Everything I had found up until this purchase cost hundreds of dollars so when I found this grill, I was quite excited.It's designed to stand on it's own over a campfire using the foldable legs, but we lay it down across the stone fire pit with the legs closed - they add a bit of extra strength while in that position.It easily holds a lobster pot and helps us relive our Maine vacation whenever we want.

Review: We cook alot over a fire. Could be made a little more sturdy but if your placing hot dogs and steaks on the grate it'll be fine. Cast iron is heavy and this is a big grate so it's sort of expected. After a couple fires we could see the warping but it still holds. There's a center peice, would be better If it had 3 to keep from drooping. But we like it, and it still holds up!
