Yupik organic yellow split peas are dried and split. Like pasta, split peas can be cooked in a pot of boiling, salted water. Yellow split peas cook for approximately 30-45 minutes, or until tender. Yellow split peas can be used in soups, stews, salads, and side dishes; they also mash or blend easily to add texture, thickness, and depth to recipes.

Title: Great for homemade "Just Egg"
Review: I have made a couple recipes to mimic the Just Egg product at the grocery. As a vegan, this has been a great addition to our kitchen.

Title: No problem
Review: I didn't realize I could get these peas at the corner store and thought they were something exotic. I ate them all. I don't think I experienced them differently than green peas. I don't have much experience with food.

Title: DRIED LEGUMES (ORGANIC)
Review: I was under the impression that these USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC yellow peas were a product of Canada. However, the bag itself indicates the country of origin is Canada or Turkey. Turkey?!?! That should have been disclosed. Anyhoo, they're high in fiber & a good source of protein. They can be used in soups, stews, salads & casseroles. The expiration date is well into the future.

Title: Very bad purchase
Review: I let them soak in water 24 hours as the bag mentioned. It seemed to me they were still very hard so I boil them for a while and then I prepared a soup and therefore they have to boil again. The result was the soup was impossible to eat. I wondering what kind of peas are these. The first time it happen to me and the package is too big. What a waste!
Customers say
Customers like the flavor, quality, and cook time of the legumes. They mention they're very tasty, earthy, and easy to cook. Some are also happy with the value for money and protein content. However, some customers have reported that the peas don't soften and are still crunchy.
