Simply put the hot dog in the cooking chamber, place the bun on top of it, put the lid on and then microwave! The cooking chamber features ribs that pierce the hot dog’s casing, allowing it to grill and sear from the inside out, while the vent lets steam escape to warm the bun. Additional cooking options: To slightly steam the bun, cook the hot dog without the bun for half the time, then add the bun for the remaining cook time. Title: I’m so glad I made this purchase
Review: The item worked perfectly as described. I know you can cook a hotdog with a lot less work, but this literally cooked a hotdog and bun perfectly. I would highly recommend this item if you are picky about good tasting hotdogs and they actually make the hotdogs look good too.

Title: Works as advertised
Review: I see many people have their own ideas about what a hot dog should taste like. For me the hot dog cooks perfectly every time, along with the bun. Just do 1/2 minute for the bun and 1 minute for the hot dog (for my large capacity microwave) - and the result is better than 90 percent of the hot dogs I've tasted - crisp, fully cooked dog with a warm but not soggy or hard bun. It is so easy to use that even cooking 3-4 dogs for a 2 person meal is a time saver even though you can only do one at a time. The only thing that knocks a star off is that the hot dog tray is actually not easy to clean because of all of the ridges that tend to be coated with hot dog oil/juice. Other than that, it's great.

Title: second purchase awful product
Review: This little hot dog cooker was the third type I tried and it comes out the big winner! It only makes one to dog at a time but they cook so rapidly it takes very little time to prepare for 2-3 people. The only reason it gets 4 stars for me is the time recommendations do not really work well and I have been able to adjust to make them perfect. 35 seconds with just the hot dog, then add bun for 10-15 seconds more, depending they type of bun; for a regular generic bun use 10 seconds, for a more premium hot dog bun/roll use 15 seconds. That should do it. Please do not b deterred from purchasing due to this little work-around, it will serve you well, as it has served us!!! You will love it tooUPDATE on second purchase:this item this time around was awful, packaging opened, dirty and smelly. This was a used product sold a new. Very disappointed and extremely gross as I reached in to remove from box and my whole hand was covered in spoiled acrid hot dog grease. Obviously went right in trash before I got sick to my stomach.

Title: Buns are hard to chew.
Review: Buns are difficult to chew. You have to more or less take them apart with your fingers or teeth. Hotdogs are passable, thus the two stars. I used it twice, right after it was delivered. It was the same result both times. Hot dogs get cooked so I will keep the product, but given the chance, I would not have purchased them. (I got two, silly me}.

Title: Convenient, fast
Review: Bought this after seeing James White's review on "Freakin' Reviews" (good YT review site). It's real convenient and fast...within 60 sec you have a scored, cooked hot dog and steamed bun. Great when you're in a hurry. Also, after cooking the hot dog tray will have accumulated close to a tsp of liquid runoff. My wife saw this and though it would make the dog less juicy.....not so. I put the hot dog in the microwave for 30 sec THEN add the bun for remaining 30 sec. I found the bun was too soggy if microwaved tor the full 60 secs. Neat product! I guess the only downside is that you can only do one dog at a time...of course you could have more than one these dog cookers.
