Title: Tried these to Compare to French's Fried Onions
Review: I made a green bean casserole and put half these gourmet crispy onions and half French's fried onions. The tastes and crispness are very comparable. Since I can't eat palm oil anymore I had to find a solution because if I even eat just a few of the French's onions I end up breaking out. These onions are just as good and have different oils in it and when I make casseroles they make the best topping. See photo for these onions on the left and French's on the right.~The Rebecca Review

Title: Way better than French's -- here's why
Review: Fried onions are awesome, not just to as toppings on green beans or in salads, but sometimes just to munch on like potato chips!I had been purchasing the classic French's, and decided to try these instead. And wow -- these are so much better, the difference is like night and day! Here's why:1) French's is *way* too salty. Look, I love salty snacks, but eating French's by itself, after a few bites is like, wow this is crazy salty. I checked the labels and French's has 4x the salt of Fresh Gourmet -- 60 mg per 7 grams, as opposed to 15 mg. That's insane! That makes it 40% saltier than Lay's potato chips, which have 43 mg of sodium per 7 grams. And Lay's are already basically at the max of how salty you want snacks to be.2) French's seems greasier, both in appearance and in touch and in taste. Fresh Gourmet just seems lighter, I don't know if they shake off more of the oil after frying before bagging or what. Fresh Gourmet seems like the right amount of oil, while French's just seems heavy with it.3) French's is full of "dust" and tiny pieces. Kind of like at the bottom of the cereal bag you have the cereal dust? French's is like that, but there's dust throughout it. Whereas Fresh Gourmet doesn't have any dust at all, the whole bag is just normal-sized fried onion pieces. Which kind of makes me curious why they're different like that?I think part of the explanation for 2) and 3) is that the Fresh Gourmet pieces seem to be a bit thicker and more substantive. So maybe the French's absorb more oil because they're thinner, and then break apart into little pieces and dust because they're thinner. So I'd definitely go with these, and I'm happy I can buy this large bag on Amazon since my local grocery stores only carry the much smaller bags. I wish they were even cheaper, but they still work out to about the same price as Lay's potato chips in the supermarket, by weight, so I can't really complain.

Title: Live these onions!
Review: Go great in salad and soup, and alone from the bag. Expensive compared to the specials in big box stores during holiday time, but more reasonable than the little packages in grocery stores.

Title: Great ingredients, fresh, light taste!
Review: I use the YUKA app and this product is the only crispy onion product I could find that rated Good. Most all, available to me, rated Poor or Bad. I can see using these in a hundred waysâ¦on eggs, salads, casseroles, tacos, chili, soups, etc. Itâs a large bag, so may freeze some.

Title: Salad pixie dust
Review: My husband and I love the fried onions on our salad. This adds so much taste and texture to our salad. We've tried some less expensive brands but none have the quality we love in this brand.
