Review: I bought this watch to replace my older version which was not holding a charge any longer. I really like the size, style, and the apps on the watch. This one is holding up very well and I like the upgrades.

Title: It Works
Review: I've used this watch for a few months and I find myself going back to my Fitbit Sense. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has numerous problems. First among them are very poor battery life. I had to recharge this watch every day or risk having it completely discharge while on my wrist. Another issue is with the promised apps (e.g. ECG and blood pressure). They do not work....period. Both apps require you to be "outside the US" and have a Samsung phone in order for it to even be downloaded. Oh yes, there is a convoluted workaround that you can download off the web from a third party but if you have any problems with your phone or change phones you have to go through the whole process again. The blood pressure app is not accurate anyway and you have to keep calibrating the app with a real blood pressure monitor to even use it.Update After 9 Months of Use...Actually this watch has grown on me. At least it works much better than the Fitbit Sense (the Fitbit Sense will not auto-update the hour after crossing a time zone resulting in late/missed appointments). This Samsung works fine in that regard and most everything else on it works correctly. The battery issue is still there but I got around it by dimming the screen a little and turning off "always on" for the display. Still have to charge every morning which is a pain. ECG and blood pressure apps still do not work. I keep a self-wind watch in reserve.

Title: Does more than I expected
Review: The watch easily linked to my Samsung phone and does more than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised by the EKG monitoring. Battery life could be better, but overall I am very satisfied with the watch and would recommend it.

Title: Would be a five star review, but I'm allergic to the band
Review: Unfortunately, whatever this watch's wrist band is made of, I'm allergic to it. I think it's silicone. Which, granted, silicone allergies are rare, so this is probably a 5 star review for most people, but it's just something to point out. The reason it's enough for me to bump it down to a 4 star review is that most of the replacement bands for the watch are inferior versions. They either have a gap between the watch band and the watch itself, or they cut into my skin. Or they're metal, and thus block the wireless charging feature.As for the rest of the features, the app library is great, and the fitness tracking is excellent. Sleep tracking can be a bit hit or miss; I feel sometimes it isn't accurate. There are even some games you can download for the watch, although since you're going to have your phone nearby most of the time anyways, there's kind of no point. The games also chew through battery life at an insane rate.One feature I was particularly impressed with was the NFC. Not having to take my card or phone out to use NFC is great, and it even works if your phone is not nearby. It saves all the info on your watch, so even if you leave your phone in the car or something, you can still use it. And with more and more places featuring NFC readers, it'll become even more useful in the future.The battery life leaves something to be desired; you basically have to charge it once a day, because it doesn't quite last 48 hours. But that's a bit of a downside to having so many features. Watches that have less features tend to have much longer battery life, so it's a bit of a tradeoff. Personally I don't mind the once a day charging. I usually play games on my computer after work, so I have time where I can take it off to charge. If you live a more active lifestyle, maybe a different watch would be better. That or you have to give up the sleep tracking and leave it on the charger overnight, but that's probably not great for the lifespan of the battery.
