Title: Great quality book, excellent recipes
Review: I purchased this as a gift and went through it before I wrapped it. There are a lot of pictures to help visualise what you are making (for people like me who have no imagination on how to make food cute!) the recipes are detailed and in an easy to read format (not too much information, not too little) there is a little description of each dish and they suggest how to serve it and in what kind of bowl or container to add to the effect. The book is very sturdy and well bound. I would recommend to anyone who loves to cook or someone who loves to cook, but wants to make their dishes prettier!

Title: Adorable Book, Perfect Results
Review: I bought this book for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Tonight, I arrived home from work to find the most adorable, exquisite, cupcake-sized blueberry pies waiting for me to sample. In a word, heaven! I bit in to the picture-perfect treat, and was rewarded with a mouthful of delight: lush, rich, tender crust, and a lemon-laced blueberry filling that was so surprising, fresh and flavorful it almost brought tears to my pie-loving eyes. This was my daughter's second attempt at pie baking, ever, and her result was something so delicious it could easily have been the product of a seasoned pastry chef. Pie nirvana. A cookbook that can guide even a novice to results like this deserves all 5 stars.

Title: Delicious recipes but inconsistent batch sizes
Review: I have to say that even if you aren't obsessed with mini pies like I am, you will still want the recipes in the book. I'm really impressed with the quality of the recipes and ease of creating perfect pies. I do use my own crust recipe because I find all butter crusts to taste nice, but not have enough flakiness. I use half butter and half lard for the best combination of taste and texture. My favorite so far is the coconut cream pie. It really is just right. I also enjoy the berry pies and several others. I've made 4" pies, pies in muffin tins and pies in mini-muffin tins (which are great for bringing to parties). My only gripe is that I'm consistently short by about 20% of the expected yield. I can only guess that I'm rolling my crust thinner than she is (and therefore using more filling per pie), but I think it would be too heavy on the crust with it any thicker. Now that I'm used to the batch size difference I can accommodate, but it was disappointing the first few times when I was leaving for a party and didn't have quite the platter full I expected.I've only tried a sampling of the recipes so far, but they've all been some of the best pies I've eaten. I can't wait to try the rest.

Title: Incredible Pie from Incredible People
Review: These recipes are amazing! I haven't made them all myself, but I have tried several of the options at High 5 Pie. I literally dream about double blackberry pie. This was a must-have addition to my kitchen, especially now that I don't live within driving distance of High 5 Pie!Most of the recipes are interchangeable between a standard 9-inch pie, a 7-inch deep dish pie, a half-pint mason jar pie, muffin tin sized cutie pies, mini-muffin tin sized petit-5s, pie pops, or the ultra portable flip flops, which is great because it adds so much versatility. There is a really great variety of flavors too. What is even more amazing is that I had a question about a recipe, emailed the store, and got a response the next morning.

Title: Not my favorite book but it's cute
Review: I am a HUGE pie baker. I bought this book because I saw it in a store in Seattle and thought it looked like something I could use for baking with my kids. Made our first recipe out of it and I have to say, I have made this type of pie a hundred times with a recipe I have out of a different cookbook and this version was just meh. The crust did NOT turn out as I had anticipated and I knew I should have stuck with the one I used all the time but I wanted to follow theirs. Much to my dismay, it didn't turn out as planned. The filling was decent but again, for all the work and cost of ingredients, I would have expected better. The book is colorful and has lots of pictures, which I love. But I will be wary of making more things from this book for events or company. I will have to do more experimenting before feeding any of it to other people.
