Title: Best iron I've ever used by far! Ignore the Naysayers.
Review: I've been ironing for many years and find it very therapeutic. I've tried many hotel irons and last had a 1600-watt Shark which I thought was pretty good. The 1850-watt DW9540 takes ironing to a new level and, as someone else pointed out, really is the high-end sportscar of irons. Clothes come out almost like new and markedly better than any other iron I've used. In particular, I've never seen an iron do so well on seams - it is likely due to the vast amount of steam as well as the many nozzles along the center. The weight of the iron makes it so you don't get accidental wrinkles from the fabric bunching up - I wouldn't have expected this, but it is really good at preventing bunching on both sides of items like slacks or sleeves.I nearly didn't buy this model because of people complaining about the trigger. I think it's really well designed and quite useful. You barely have to touch it to get a good amount of steam and it gives you incredible control. Given the large amount of steam that this thing produces you want it for safety as well as to prevent using up all your water too quickly. Also, you can really have at seams and wrinkles to your heart's desire. You can go through a full tank of water for a single item or once you become more efficient probably 3-5 items on a tank.People also complained about the weight. It's not that noticeable. I almost thought that Amazon sent me the wrong thing because the unopened package felt so light. The glide plate on the iron is very smooth and you don't need to really lift the iron that often. The fine tip at the top is noticeably better than other irons at removing fine wrinkles in difficult areas. From using hotel irons, there are many simple, lightweight irons that have nice non-stick coatings and actually perform quite well. This iron is equally smooth and also has some sort of coating, so I don't feel like anything is missing. This iron may occasionally drip a small amount when using lots of steam, but it is nothing compared to the major dripping I've experienced in inexpensive hotel irons.Rowena really pays attention to details. This iron has a specially designed solid and wide base so the iron is incredibly stable when resting upright. All my other irons would quickly wobble and come close to falling off the ironing board with the slightest movement of the ironing board. The cord is reasonably long - as long as my Shark.Yes, the iron restarts in Wool mode after plugging it in, but it's a simple and quick click to Cotton. Warm-up from room temperature up is 5-10 seconds and you can already start ironing if needed. If the iron is already hot, 1850 watts will warm it up in just a couple seconds. My Shark at 1600 watts would sometimes blow my circuit breaker. This iron is very well controlled and while once or twice I might see my room lights instantaneously dim, it has extremely good voltage control and has not once blown my fuse. One minor issue is that the manual says to turn off the iron before unplugging - there is no off button except for auto-off, so I still have to resort to quickly pulling the plug like I would do with all my other irons.Out of the box the iron looked perfectly new, but there were some minor calc deposits that were coming out. Not sure if this was from factory testing or what. A 3-min calc-clean cycle made it all go away completely.Very well worth the $110 I spent. Ups my ironing for many years to come, noticeably improves my clothes over other irons, and the therapeutic benefit of this insanely good iron is worth every penny. Ignore all of the naysayers out there. This iron rocks!

Title: Get this if you like to iron!
Review: Wow, where do I start? Okay, no comments from the peanut gallery! I learned to do laundry by washing my clothes in the river and heating irons in the fire and putting a towel or cloth over them to iron them. I can hear you snickering ... you know who you are! :-)This is my third Rowenta iron over the years. They didn't break, they just made better models. My daughter has my last one and it's like new. It seems to be the only company who makes premium irons for the general public. Suffice it to say that a good ironing board is necessary to use a good iron on for excellent results. Before I tell you how fantastic I think this iron is, I have to tell you I went through THREE before I got one that worked. Do NOT buy this iron from Rowenta, because their solution is to mail the iron back to them and in 4 to 6 weeks they will fix or replace it. If it wasn't for Amazon's outstanding guarantees and customer service I would still be walking around in wrinkled clothing. Use the iron a LOT in the first thirty days to make sure it's not going to leak all over the place. Course it wasn't so bad for me because I mostly iron cotton now that the kids are grown, but if you're ironing silk or something and it's getting wet, you're going to be pulling your hair out! That being said, this is THE BEST IRON ON THE PLANET AND BEYOND! You can actually add water to this beauty by pouring it in the WIDE reservoir opening. Use a measuring cup or something even though you can put it under the tap. I think that even though it doesn't look like water is getting into the iron, it may be getting in underneath the reservoir cover. The reservoir is dark blue (not sure what genius did that without a clear water level sight line) and difficult to see the level until you get used to it. All the positives more than make up for that faux pas.The steam sole plate is absolutely amazing! There are a million holes and steam is pushed out of them! If you accidentally iron in a crease you can iron it back out with this feature, it's that good. Note ... you cannot pump and pump and pump steam out of this iron ... get a steamer for that. The steam will fade and the light will come on. If you use it a pump at a time it will work. It's a little trial and error, but it works. Read the manual! The snout of this thing is perfect! It is very long and no matter what position you are headed, or how you are holding the iron, you can see where it is going and the thing fits everywhere you point it ... VERY nice! The temperature dial is "unreadable," BUT, who cares because the light comes on telling you what you're ironing and flashes until it reaches temperature, or until it cools off when you lower the temperature. The manual says start at lower temperatures and then iron things that require hotter temperatures. Well, good luck with that, I'm sure they have NEVER ironed anything or had kids waiting! The temperature is fast and easy to adjust. What did it miss? Oh yeah. The cord is a "normal" cord like an extension cord, not a half inch round wire like the older models that were hard to manage. This cord is agreeable! The steam and spray levers make sense and they are BIG and the steam is by itself on top of the iron, the spray below the handle. Nice! The steam/no steam switch is right there on top and it's easy to use. This is the sports car of irons! Splurge! Good luck! 🙂

Review: This iron is a beast! I thought I was just buying a regular steam iron, but the Rowenta SteamForce Pro could probably launch a rocket with the amount of steam it puts out. Seriously, it's like a mini jet engine for your clothes. Wrinkles donât stand a chance. I used to dread ironing, but now Iâm actively searching for wrinkled clothes to âfix.â The stainless steel soleplate glides so smoothly, itâs almost like the iron is doing the work for me (well, almost). The steam boost is no joke. If this thing had any more power, I might have to wear goggles to iron. And the smart presets? Perfect for someone like me who never remembers what temperature is safe for what fabricâno more burnt shirts, which is a win! Itâs also great for vertical steaming, so even my curtains canât hide from the power of Rowenta.Plus, if you ever forget to turn it off, donât worryâitâs got an auto-off feature because, letâs be real, weâve all forgotten once or twice (or in my case, more often than Iâd like to admit). Bottom line: itâs a high-tech, wrinkle-destroying machine, and I feel like a pro every time I use it. My old iron? Itâs probably hiding in shame.

Review: This product has convinced me that, at least for irons, you get what you pay for. This one is amazing! It works so well that it actually saves me time when ironing. I can whip through doing shirts and the "pointed" tip is a great asset. Also, the amount of steam is terrific and much more than average. If I had to quibble, I might add that the steam is so much that the water needs refilling more often, but that's a teeny issue, and the machine takes tap water anyway. And for my (thicker) hand, the "settings" dial can sometimes be rotated inadvertently when I grab the handle, but once again, this is mostly an issue of knowing and adjusting.I would definitely recommend this iron!

However, some customers have reported issues with water leakage from the tank. Opinions differ on functionality, steam quality, build quality, value for money, heat level, and weight.
