Title: Excellent book to learn mindfulness and internal skill for performance
Review: The book Mind Over Scatter is written for students to support deeper learning and retention especially when test taking ... so this book is excellent for those as young as middle school and into high school and college (or taking tests at any age ... CPA, CFP, etc). I am going to have my middle school and high school daughters read it to support their academic journey. As I read the book however, I really appreciated how it was really about performance and mindfulness. This skill is one that all humans in our fast paced world really need. Sometimes it is dismissed as woo-woo or trendy, but really it is not. This skill is essential for your personal and human performance. This book does a phenomenal job of teaching how to start ... even for kids... and is applicable for any age. The skill and information is relevant for the pressure of work, leadership and life. It is helpful to see the exploration of mindsets and mindfulness applied to a students life, rhythm and journey. This simple and quick read is useful to take and apply to whatever is your life pressure. It has great tips and suggestions which are practical and motivational. It helps to understand a more healthy internal recipe for greater external results.I love this book for anyone learning and getting started with mindfulness in general.Would be a great 8th grade or high school graduation gift .... or start of school year gift.

The beauty of this book is that it helps decrease kids’ stress while simultaneously helping them excel!Kids today have so much schoolwork and pressure. It easy for students to become overwhelmed or paralyzed. Mind Over Scatter teaches students the tools to lighten their burden while being academically successful.Mind Over Scatter is well-written and enjoyable to read. It provides evidenced-based research to prove the effectiveness of these techniques. (This is particularly helpful for kids who question why they should do something.) This book does the motivating so parents doesn’t have to.I highly recommend this book as a resource to students, parents of students, child psychologists/psychiatrists, and executive function coaches. Review: I was always an anxious test taker, and unfortunately, one of my kids is exactly like me! How I wish this book had been around for me in highschool and college, and I am just so glad it is available now. I love how this book is so easy to read. I also appreciate that it provides many concrete strategies for practicing mindfulness. I particularly enjoyed the mindfulness practices interspersed throughout the book. Title: Practical and Very Much Needed!
Review: As an educator, I would find so many students struggling to effectively demonstrate what they knew on tests. Why? Their mindset was getting in their own way. They couldn't focus, they were overthinking, they were stressed about their performance, and were experiencing heightened anxiety. In today's age, with more high-stakes testing than ever, I see this problem continuing to escalate and it's impacting the wellbeing of the next generation. This is a book that every student, parent, and educator needs! I appreciate that the author gives concrete and evidence-based approaches to teaching mindfulness to transform the mindset of students overwhelmed with the many tests they're facing. I've experienced difficulties staying in the present moment, but this book gives some great concrete tips to learn and implement mindfulness in your life. I highly recommend this book to anyone feeling the overwhelm of distraction, stress, fear, and anxiety around tests.

Title: Mindfulness A New Way of Handaling Tasks
Review: Mind Over Scatter is a great book about mindfulness. The book is written with the purpose of helping students deal with anxieties about taking a test or getting better scores. I wish this book was written a couple of years ago when I still was in college. It could have saved me a lot of stress. However, nothing is lost as the concept of mindfulness can be applied in our everyday life. It would be amazing to see how much we can accomplish if we practice mindfulness every time we do a project or set out a goal. I’m glad that I found this book. I hope this book can reach the hands of those students who are struggling to pass a test or people who want to become more efficient at completing new tasks.

Title: Great for students!
Review: As a student myself taking an important test Can become a trigger for stress. Mind over scatter is a guide to how to overcome that anxiety and what steps to take to be a good test taker. The book is divided in 3 parts:1. Why mindfulness?2. Six mindful steps.3. Mindfulness for studying and test-taking.The first part introduces to why mindfulness can help you reach your potential, and it makes you want to use it for your advantage. The second part is the how-to. And the third part is putting your knowledge into practice. This book is a great tool for not only students, but professors and parents too. I would only deduct one star due to the book not being properly packaged, it was open in a box with other stuff I ordered.

Review: I purchased this book more out of curiosity than anything. I was familiar with mindfulness but wondered how an entire book could be devoted to the topic of mindfulness for test-taking. Having educated my children from Kindergarten to Grade 12, I wish I had had this book before they went off to higher studies. It would have definitely helped ease some of their stress and anxiety as they maneuvered through a load of quizzes, papers, midterms and final exams that make up university life. What impressed me the most was that the book did not offer a magic solution to text anxiety but instead provided a precise step-by-step method that one can adopt over two weeks with a little practice each day. The author provides numerous scientific research that backs up its effectiveness. In addition, the book outlines a few different options for the practice of mindfulness so that readers can select the things that work best for them.By the end of the book, I found that I was thinking about how the techniques offered could help in other stressful situations, such as busy work environments with competing deadlines, family life with ever-changing priorities, and the achievement of personal goals each day. This book is a real gem that belongs on everyone's bookshelf!

Review: This book bridges the gap between the spiritual and the scientific as mindfulness is proposed as a technique for succeeding in tests and exams. The author cleverly presents this often spiritually classified activity as a means of achieving focus, making it accessible to the more scientific-minded. If you are struggling with test-taking, this book is a must read!
