Review: We got these walkie-talkies for our son, who’s not quite ready for a phone yet. When they arrived, we were excited to test them out. It took our son a bit of time to get used to them—he would sometimes forget to hold down the button while talking and occasionally switch channels by mistake.Now, he brings the walkie-talkie with him when he plays with the neighbors, and it makes it easy for him to stay in touch with us. The walkie-talkies are lightweight, and he clips his onto his pants. If left on for hours, they emit a beeping sound and automatically shut off to conserve battery. Since our son usually forgets to turn his off, we occasionally hear the beeping around 1 a.m. After it shuts off, you have to manually turn it back on, and the other person wouldn’t know if your walkie-talkie was off, so they might assume their message was sent. There’s some occasional static, but overall, the messages are clear. The battery life is good—we haven’t needed to recharge them yet. We also appreciate that the included charging cable is a dual charger, allowing both walkie-talkies to be charged simultaneously. For the price, we’d recommend these—they work well.

Title: Crystal Clear Sound, But They Auto Turn Off versus Going to Sleep
Review: I wanted to love these but for my purposes they are ineffective. I got them to have one upstairs and one downstairs so I could stop shouting for my kids to come down. Using the walkie talkie was a fabulous solution for the first day because the couple times I needed the kids or had a question I could just use the walkie talkie. No yelling, no shouting, it was glorious!Then a few hours went by and the walkie talkies auto shut off. Which is a nice battery saving feature but defeats the purpose of having easy access to the person on the other end if they don't realize theirs has turned off.A simple solution would be for them to go to sleep instead. If that was a feature then I would absolutely give these 5 stars. But imagine being in the woods and needing help but your friend's walkie talkie turned off- how would you reach them?The design is relatively industrial looking and they seem sturdy and likely to last a long time.Wish I could love these!

Review: Habe die Walkie-Talkies für meine Eltern gekauft, da mein Vater pflegebedürftig ist und wir das quasi als "Nachtklingel" nutzen, falls mal etwas ist und niemand gerade in der Nähe ist. Gute Reichweite, man versteht den anderem immer gut, leichte Bedienbarkeit. Einziger Minuspunkt ist die kurze Akkulaufzeit. Da wir es nur Nachts anschalten und eigentlich nur selten benutzen, muss man es dennoch jeden Tag aufladen, da es Nachts sonst anfängt zu piepsen, da der Akku leer läuft.Im großen und ganzen kann ich es aber empfehlen.
