Prepara's Herb Savor Pod 2.0 is the new and improved smaller version of Prepara's beloved Herb Savor. This pod is designed to neatly store fresh herbs and prolong the life of fresh cut herbs for up to three weeks. The new 2.0 version is 20% larger and features a hinged door for easy access. To use, open the hinged door and place your clean, fresh herbs in the pod with stems pointing down. Pull out the green stopper at the base of the pod, fill the pod with fresh water through the stopper opening and replace the stopper. You can store your Prepara Herb Savor Pod 2.0 neatly inside a refrigerator door. The herbs will draw the water up through their stems and stay fresh thanks to the water at the base of the pod. For best results, change and refresh the water on a regular basis. Also great for asparagus. BPA free, top rack dishwasher safe.

Title: These things really work!
Review: Basil has been on my countertop for 10 days and is still green and fresh and cilantro lasted 2 weeks in the fridge! I wasn't good and changing the water either. Very pleased, as especially cilantro from the grocery, is usually bad in 3-4 days. I bought some different ones elsewhere but, they were smaller and hard to close. These work, a must if you love fresh herbs. Didn't see much difference with scallions tho.

Title: Does not close shut
Review: The product is excellent, but I go to shut it and it does not stay close. It will be open. Unless the packaging was handled without fragile care, maybe a piece broke while on delivery. I will buy more in the future though. It is very practical.

Title: An interesting idea but has room for improvement.
Review: Ok, first let me start of a positive note. These pods have worked well for keeping my cilantro fresh and usable for a good couple of weeks. And that is a plus. These get a little trickier for many other herbs I store. They don’t work at all for chives. No matter how I’ve tried to store Basil, in or outside the refrigerator, basil doesn’t store well in these pods. But, the biggest problems I have with these pods are they are top heavy and the doors do not make a good connection so they do not stay closed very well. Which can lead to one knock in a refrigerator and water is spilt. One really must be either extremely well organized in their refrigerator or have the perfect family, who is very adept at carefully going through the refrigerator and carefully moving these around while getting out what they are looking for, which leads me back to them being top heavy. Even the most skilled human can still accidentally knock these pods down while moving items in the refrigerator just due to their shape etc. I will continue to use them, since I just recently made my purchase. But, I think they will lose their appeal. If the company works out details, there is room for improvement and they might be worthy of more stars. They aren’t a total waste. After all they have managed to keep some of my herbs fresh longer than had I kept them in the original packaging I purchase them in at the store.

Review: Happy with this product because it really helps preserving the freshness of the herbs we buy. Usually after days you can have some herbs go bad. This can preserve for a week some of my herbs.

Title: Doesn’t work
Review: I was excited to receive this item, but unfortunately, it doesn’t meet expectations. The container is too small to fit even one whole bunch of cilantro, which limits its usefulness. Additionally, the lid doesn’t close properly, even when I manage to fit everything in. Overall, the product is disappointing and doesn’t work as effectively as I had hoped.

Title: Amazing!
Review: I have to admit I was very skeptical about this product. Ultimately I was willing to take the risk because it was recommended in a Food & Wine article. My only regret is I didn’t purchase it sooner! I used it for my cilantro and it lasted for 3 weeks!! I was amazed and so happy. I follow the instructions and change the water every couple of days. Loved it so much I purchased another one for my green onions!
