Title: Have you ever been charmed?
Review: I really enjoy finding authors that I love their style of writing/storytelling and Ann Smith is one of those authors who is a great storyteller. Kate is single, living in Sugar Creek, Utah, living with her Mom, and helping to raise her deceased sisterâs child, Vi. Kateâs dad, her sister Rachel and Rachelâs husband were killed in a car accident last year. Kateâs Mom lives on the second floor which is a complete house on its own and Kate lives on the first floor. This gives them the space they need and the ability to both take care of Vi.Jake is a lawyer and seems stuck and wants to work more on cases that will make a difference. The head of the firm has invited him and his lovely lady to his birthday cruise to the Bahamas. Jake is thinking this may be the chance heâs been waiting for, but thereâs just one tiny problemâ¦. he doesnât have a lovely lady.Kate is on her way to an appointment with Mr. Smalls (Jake) for what she assumes is for her to paint a portrait of his Dad. Kate still prefers to actually paint portraits instead of going digital. Kate knows Jakeâs sister, Heather, and is happy to see that sheâs waiting for her along with her brother Tyler. Tyler is asking her about going on a cruise and sheâs confused as to why. She soon finds out that the cruise will be with Jake and not Tyler. Kateâs reaction is guarded, she barely knows Jake and they want her to go on a cruise with him. Kate asks about his girlfriend Sophie, but he ended that relationship some time ago. Jake intends to ask her himself and has no ideas his siblings jumped in to intervene so hopefully, Sophie wouldnât say no right away.Can this charade be pulled off without Jakeâs boss finding out itâs not a real relationship? How will they stay in a cabin together? Will there be obstacles that get in the way of Jake impressing his boss and getting the promotion he wants? There are some very unexpected events on this cruise, and you donât want to miss any of them. I lost sleep reading this book, but it was well worth it. Title: Friends to more.....
Review: Charmed By My Best Friend's Brother is a sweet, clean, quick read romance. This is the first book that I have read from Ann Smith and I enjoyed the story.In this story, the reader meets Jake, a junior partner at his law office, and Kate, a portrait painter. The two have know each other for many years since Kate and Jake's sister, Heather, are best friends. They have seen each other different events over the years but never had a chance to make a connection. Fast forward to the current time, Jake accidentally gets himself invited on a couples cruise for a senior partner. Enter his fun loving siblings to help him get a date. Heather suggests Kate and the plus-one begins. Jake and Kate start with a business arrangement and a chance to see if there can be more. The story continues with the scorned ex, a sad occurrence during the cruise, personal outlook changes, and a happily ever after.I enjoyed this story, but I only gave it 4 stars. In my opinion, some of the events on the cruise ship could have been handled differently or even changed to be more about Jake and Kate and less about others. I also wish there would have been more involvement with Kate's family.I will read more of Ann Smith's books. I recommend this book for a quick, clean read. Review: A wonderful story and amazing characters. Kate was taking care of her niece and her Art business are top priority, the last thing she was thinking of was love. When her best friend asks her to be Jake's fake girlfriend for appearances sake. He's grumpy, she is a ray of sunshine, but with the tropical sunsets and time spent together, will their fake relationship turn real??? Title: Clean, Sweet and Enjoyable
Review: Jake and Kateâs story is as sweet as they come. It is a slow start for the two of them as Kateâs bestie and her brother set them up to attend a work event - a two week cruise!Their relationship seems to be the simplest part of the story as Jakeâs ex constantly tries to get in the way. Of course that all changes when she turns up dead on the cruise.The two lovebirds learn to trust one another despite the challenges and find their way to a HEA.

Title: Charmed By My Best Friendâs Brother
Review: This was such a wonderful and fun story with a twist. The grumpy/sunshine storyline was fun and flirty with great character development. There was so much going on during the cruise that it made the storyline interesting and exciting. It was well written with enough drama to keep you hooked to the end. This is definitely a page turner that does not disappoint.
