Review: This movie has been one of my all time favorites for over 20 years now.. I still have to rent it from time to time. Great storyline.. you'll laugh, you'll cry... definitely a must see!

Title: Dani is the real catch
Review: I have loved this movie since I was little, and have always wanted to point out: Court would still be alive had he not been reaching for a hat that he only put up while messing around with Maureen, an older sister who knowingly and secretly messes around with her little sister Dani's first love. I know it's just a movie, but I always hoped Maureen's actions haunted her, and in no way was she "hurting" more than Dani. Dani is only overlooked by everyone because of her age, but she has more a pioneer's spirit than every character combined.

Title: Withersparrow
Review: Reece Withersparrow is awesome, but let's talk about the story. So, spoon is really into this dude but dude isn't that into her, more interested in her older sister. They start to quarrel and dude and old girl start getting it on while mum is in hospital. Now, when they get back, homegirl is unaware, but dude and old girl are getting it on in the bushes behind her back. Homegirl suspects something is afoot, while him and old girl are mounting each other in the bush. Now when they're finished, old girl runs back home, meanwhile dude, on cloud nine from the naked sex, attempts a dope stunt off the tractor to grab his hat, fails, and gets ground up like a meat sausage. Homegirl finds the body of her deceased boyfriend and erupts in anger at her sister from the naked sex and the consequences that followed. It ends with homegirl and old girl settling their differences meanwhile the love smothered dude lays rotting in a grave with no face.

Review: I believe that this was Reese Witherspoon's first major movie, and it just demonstrates why she went on and became the terrific actress that she now is.Casting directors have their work cut out to get it right and this movie shows just how right they got it for The Man In The Moon; and while the star was undoubtedly Ms Witherspoon, all roles were played superbly.The storyline, as old as the hills, a teeneger's first love, was portrayed brilliantly by Witherspoon, and I could feel the wrangling and confusion in her mind as her feelings got on top of her where, briefly at times, her emotions totally excluded all around her, sibling sister, parents and all - myself to a tee when I was 13 years of age!The heartache at the end was tough to take, but this is one film that will be watched over and over. Highly recommended.
