Title: Crisp, Light, Smooth, and Fabulous
Review: Update: 2023 - Still love these sheets, bought another set in 2023 after 5 years, not because the original set needed to be replaced (they are still excellent), but because I wanted another color. The price did go up considerably since 2018, but that's true of everything...Written in 2018:I have been on a sheet comparison bonanza. I have tried extremely heavy 10 pound Egyptian cotton Sateen sheets as well as linen sheets. These are Percale and not like either of those two very nice but DIFFERENT kinds of sheets. These are CRISP and LIGHT and SMOOTH and very refreshing. They are not super thick, but for that I would turn to the heavy Egyptian cotton Sateen sheets (in the winter). I read a few reviews stating that Percale of old was thicker and more crisp (perhaps starched?) than these sheets; I would not know. I don't remember my grandmother's sheets, unfortunately. If you are looking for thicker sheets, you might want a higher thread count Sateen. Anway, personal ideas about what Percale should be like aside, these feel AMAZING in the summertime. As a cold sleeper, I was worried they would not be cozy and warm enough for me, but they are perfect for warm weather. They are smooth and crisp and fabulous. I will update my review in a few weeks after washing a few more times.

Title: Real Percale. I am in love!
Review: These sheets are real percale, and if they're not, then they're as real as it gets nowadays. These remind me of the sheets I grew up sleeping on. Cool. Crisp. They feel like heaven on my skin. None of that microfiber crap. I order these again and again, multiple sets for every bed because I never want to sleep on any other sheets again. It took me a long time to find percale sheets. These are the real deal.

Title: Lots of shrinkage and bad wrinkles even with very careful laundering.
Review: Dang. I thought when I first put these on the bed, that I'd found THE perfect sheets: crisp, cool, smooth, breathable, and a nice weight but not too heavy. I ordered the king set in latte. And they WERE perfect, right outta the box. Both my husband and I get hot even in winter, so prefer cotton bedding vs synthetics and blends. I was so excited to try these, that I put them on the bed right outta the box (came very nicely packaged). Loved them and we both thought they were the most comfy sheets we'd ever had. However, post-laundering was a different story. Instructions say wash cool and gentle, then dry on delicate/lowest setting. Did that and more: laundered the set by themselves to eliminate crowding. All of this should reduce most shrinkage and wrinkles. Unfortunately, everything came out badly wrinkled - even after returning each sheet individually to the dryer on low setting with a soaking wet towel to steam out the wrinkles (works like a charm for EVERYTHING else). Nope. Also, both top and bottom sheets had shrunk. A lot. The en-smallened bottom sheet still fits my mattress, as the set came out of the package sized to easily accommodate deeper mattresses and/or toppers and I have neither of these -- but folks who do have them, may be disappointed after laundering.I'm a reasonable person and a small bit of shrinkage and wrinkles is something I can live with, but c'mon - for the price I just plain expect better, especially when I still have cheaper sheets I bought years ago from discount stores that never had these issues. And I have neither time nor inclination to iron my bedding, even if wrinkles were the only problem. Heck, I don't even iron clothes, anymore!I wish the Peru Pima sheets had lived up to their initial promise, because I would've bought another set in a heartbeat.EDIT 11/2022: Okay - to be fair, I had to up these from 3 to four stars. The sheets are going strong -- smooth, cool percale which I love. They've mellowed over the years and with repeated laundering, and have become favorites. I don't bother with heroics in washing - just shove 'em into the ol' top loader on warm or hot. I do avoid a lot of wrinkling by drying them on lower heat without a lot of other items crowding the barrel, then pull out and fold just as soon as they're dry.The main reason these aren't five stars for me, is due to that initial and major shrinkage of the top sheet. It will always hang too short on the sides of our mattress. But hey - I call that a first world problem because they always feel great to slip into on a warm summer night.

Title: Highest quality percale, coming from a bedding fanatic!
Review: These sheets are the highest quality percale Iâve had the pleasure of enjoying. I am not sure how anybody could find them to be rough...they have the smooth feel of sateen with the crisp, cool thickness of percale. I washed these immediately and put them on the bed, and my husband and I marveled at how they feel exactly like high-end hotel sheets. If you arenât familiar with different types of cotton sheets, you have three main categories: percale, which has a typical âbasketâ weave (one over, one under), which makes for a âstifferâ, cooler, more crisp feel (like you experience in most nice hotels). Then thereâs Jersey, which is soft and stretchy like a t-shirt, but also a bit too warm and often cheap feeling. Then thereâs sateen, which it seems like most box-store sheets are these days. They have a weave that goes one under, four over, leaving you with a very smooth and silky feel. They, however, are very drapey, very warm, and prone to pilling, usually breathing very poorly. Jersey and sateen donât wrinkle much. Percale does-itâs the nature of the weave. Embrace it. Linen is king of sheets, and it wrinkles like mad! Anyway, back to these sheets. They are a beautiful, thick, smooth bright white, which âfloatsâ over the body and has a feel like line-dried sheets at grandmas house. They are very affordable for sheets of this quality. Just get them. I will alternate between these and my 100% linen. Also, if you wish to reduce wrinkles, pull them from the dryer while theyâre just barely damp, then smooth them out on the bed to dry. One of my favorite recent purchases, and Iâm a bedding fanatic! Five stars for sure.

Review: These are not percale sheets. The fabric is extremely thin, the sheets act more like flannel where they cling to you, and they donât have the refreshing coolness of percale. These âPeruvianâ sheets have a made in India label. I would never buy these again.

Review: First of all only the bottom sheet was Pima cotton but the top sheet and pillow cases were Egyptian cotton. The quality of the pima cotton sheet was not very good at all. The Egyptian sheet was of much better quality though.

Customers say
Customers like the quality, crispness, and temperature of the bed linen set. They mention it's real percale, has a quality feel, and is luxurious. Some are also happy with the weight. However, some customers have reported that the sheets wrinkle pretty seriously. Opinions are mixed on the value for money and fit.
