Title: Really works! My water is at 0 ppm and tastes amazing
Review: Where I live, the faucet water tastes horrendous. Using a standard Brita filter does nothing for the water. I've had to resort to purchasing gallons water and refilling bottles at the grocery store with RO or alkaline water. Even though it's relatively affordable to refill water, it was becoming tedious to continually make the effort to lug all my water jugs. I did some research and found this to be one of the best water filters on the market on the basis that it removes particulates as measured in parts per million (ppm). I was also surprised to see such an effective water filter to be so affordable. The size of the filter alone made me believe that it really does effectively remove particulates. The filter is much larger than the Brita for example and it shows me that it has better filtration technology. My water does pull 0 ppm and it genuinely does taste better.

Title: Pitcher Leaks at Base - RESOLVED
Review: ZeroWater Customer Service is good! I got the filter pitcher, but then found out that the pitcher was defective, and leaked at the bottom, wasting filtered water and making a mess. I emailed customer service and linked my order number, and within 3 days I received a response email and another email saying that my replacement package was on the way. I asked for a new pitcher, since the filter was fine, but today I received a complete 10-cup item, including both filter and pitcher. This pitcher does not leak. It does seem to have the same design at the base of the handle, only this replacement pitcher is sealed where the opaque plastic handle piece meets the transparent plastic handle section, so I'm not wasting filtered water with this pitcher. All things considered, I'm very pleased with this purchase. A tip for carrying it when you have water in the upper chamber waiting to go through the filter- don't try to hold it perfectly upright and perpendicular to the ground. Your walking will slosh some water up and out onto your hand. Instead, just let it tilt a little bit forward, as there is no opening there in the top. This is a comfortable design for carrying it, but I did spill some water because I was trying to be careful when carrying it.Original Review:I just received the item yesterday, and I tried it out. The filter works great, but the pitcher into which the water is filtered and dispensed has a hole in the bottom at the base of the handle. Apparently other people have had this issue as well. I have sent an email to customer support, and will update my review when or if I hear back and when or if I get a replacement pitcher which does not have a gap which causes water to spill at a rather fast rate.Update: I received a response to my email on the third business day after my email was sent. I responded promptly to their follow-up email confirming the details of my pitcher size and mailing address, and within 5 minutes, I received another email saying my order for 1 free replacement pitcher was confirmed. I will update again when I receive the replacement.

Title: Great water filter and dispenser.
Review: This thing works great it truly provides zero contaminants! The water tastes like water should basically tasteless but not in a bad way in a clean way! Love it. the filter is easy to replace. The sensor measures about 80 from tap in my area, 62 from the fridge (filtered lol) and zero out of this pitcher.Con: Tip: Don't overfill the reservoir at the top. I often overfill the top (my bad) and if you move it tends to leak all over the place from the top where the input door is. A design improvement is needed here like the input door or lid should be moved away from the edge or a seal be placed here. Its a simple fix cause even if you don't overfill (easy to do BTW) if you move it the water splashes out sometimes. It pours out where the handle is all over me or in the door of the fridge (where it fits in my case) so I have to not fill it too much, but this could be avoided by a better lid design.

Title: It works!!!
Review: We have really gross (but certified safe to drink) well water in our house. The water is off colored and tastes really bad. Even with a water softener the water is gross and we haven't really used it for anything but showers and laundry for the seven years we've lived here. We are a big family (six children, my husband, My mother, myself, and four pets) and we were spending twenty dollars a week on bottled water. I saw this product at a local retailer and decided to take a chance on it.As soon as we got it we cleaned it out as instructed. We tested our well water And were not surprised to find over 400 ppm tds. We tested our store bought bottled water and found 25 ppm tds. We filtered our well water through the zero water filter and were shocked that at came out crystal clear despite being orange tinged going in (we are told that is supposedly from the tannins from the pine trees however our water softener is supposed to remove them but obviously fails to). Put the meter in the water and it is ZERO ppm tds!! Tasted the water and it tastes very similar to desani water!I took off one star because the lid had tiny plastic piece broken off right out of the box so it doesn't clip in all the way closed. Annoying but doesn't change the function of it.I'm skeptical about how long the filter will last since our water is so gross. I will update once I know more about that.Overall I'm a very satisfied customer. We originally bought the ten cup pitcher just to try it with a plan for husband to take it to work (on a military base with PFOAS contamination) and buy a bigger one for home if we are satisfied with the amount of time the filter lasts.UPDATE: it's been just shy of two weeks and the filter is still filtering to ZERO ppm TDS! We were so impressed with this filter's ability to clean our water that we proceeded to buy the bigger 30 cup tank style to live in our fridge permanently. We love it! I was having to fill six or so pitchers of the ten cup pitcher a day, and it is so slow to filter it would really cost a lot of time. So we have filtered over 800 cups of water through our first filter cartridge and it is still reading zero TDS. The tank style is much better because I can add water with a large measuring cup easily whenever we use water, thus providing a non stop supply of delicious, crystal clear, filtered water!Update #2: once adding more salt to our water softener, our TDS sky rocketed in our faucet water. As a result, the filters are only lasting a week or so. It's a trade off, do we stop using the water softener thereby resulting in even more quickly destroyed fixtures, so that the filters will last longer in the pitcher? Ugh!! First world problems! At one filter a week we are still spending less than we did on bottled water, BUT I fear our damage to the environment is greater since these spent filter cartridges are not recyclable but water bottles are.

Review: I live in my RV in a large park which is on well water. I routinely buy Kona and Blue Jamaica Peaberry coffees, among others. I brew up single cups at a time from freshly roasted whole beans in a burr grinder and use a French press. In the past I've tried different bottled waters and noticed big changes in the coffee taste. This got me wondering about how to come up with a consistent high quality water for the coffee.I was debating about installing a 6 stage reverse osmosis system but didn't really want to do the plumbing work and fit it under the sink. During research for that I heard about the ZeroWater products. Because the cost/risk is so low, I decided to try it out. Wow. Just wow.First, you get a good TDS meter with the pitcher. Municipal water came in at 198 PPM. I then tested the well water at the park and it came in at 52 PPM (!!). This is extraordinary and further research revealed that the park also uses extensive UV to destroy bacteria in the well water. Without the included TDS meter I never would have know just how good the park water already is.Nevertheless, the ZeroWater pitcher dropped it from 52 to 0 - as advertised. It also filtered quite quickly. A glass of water tasted very interesting. Very clean. Also, a good aftertaste. I knew it would taste different and I think it's very good.Because my source water is already at ~52 PPM I expect the filter to last a long time, and this was important to me. I spoke about it with my neighbor and she had a new Britta unit so we tested her tap water (also 52 PPM) and her Britta water came out at half that, 25 PPM. Very good. She also had a new bottle of Kirkland brand bottled water, get this, 168 PPM. In other words, more than 3x worse than her existing tap water !! And she was PAYING money for it.As for the coffee, it was a complete change from the already decent tap water. It was, literally, a different cup of coffee. I will likely have to alter my recipe but it was very noticeable. However, at the same time as I used the filtered water, I also used an ultrasonic cleaner to clean the French Press. I find this is the only way to truly scrub the oils from the mesh screens and the stainless parts. And that too makes a HUGE difference in the coffee taste. At least as much as the clean water. So once it 'colors' again (there seems to be a sweet spot) I won't know for sure if a recipe change is needed. One thing is for sure, it was a CLEAN cup of coffee!Bottom line, I'm sold on the ZeroWater system. I now have a consistent water (benchmark) to use on a permanent basis that will not change over time. But it's not just coffee, I'll be drinking more water and now know that my source water is already better than most bottled waters..making them a step backwards. Most of the negative reviews are from users that don't understand the product or it's target market. If your water is really bad, this will fix it, but you will have to buy more filters. In my case, I'm lucky and my filter may last for an entire year. But if your water is that bad, then that's just the price you pay to fix it. Oh, and as for people complaining about speed, I tested my neighbors Britta and saw no appreciable difference...other than that, of course, the ZeroWater system scrubs all of the TDS out of the water leaving you with 000......which, just so you know, no reverse osmosis system can match.....so...an inexpensive jug you just fill and put in your fridge, or a great deal of time and money building out an RO system that won't match the ZeroWater pitcher....1 Year update. Shortly after leaving the review I moved to another park with .22 TDS - so very good water there too. I've been here a year and I'm still on the original filter and it still scrubs the water to .000 So with good source water, the filter will really last. I use an average of one entire pitcher each day!Side note, this filter scrubs the water so well that you can use it to top up water in 12V batteries and it's also used in my steam cleaner to reduce scale buildup.Just got one for my parents and they have .150 TDS at the tap so we'll see how long the filter lasts at that level but we're still on our first filters one year later.
