Title: The best
Review: This is the best knife sharpener I’ve ever had. I’ve used it on my scissors, knives and it works perfectly. My knives were so dull. I was gonna throw my knives away, but now I have this and it’s easy to use. It has a suction cup on it so you can make it grip to the counter while you use it. It’s it’s easy to hold. It’s easy to store and the cost was very affordable. The sharpening quality of it is very very good. I do recommend.

Title: Sharpens Very Well
Review: I really this sharpener. The bottom suction cup adheres very strongly to my counter and the small guard in front protects the countertop. It's easy to use and does a great job. It's small enough to easily store with my knives. I purchased an additional one for my son and he loves it too. Great buy - would recommend this product.

Title: So easy a complete novice could do it, and well at that!
Review: First let me say I'm a complete novice at sharpening and have never sharpened anything before in my life prior to buying this sharpener. I originally purchased this sharpener only to sharpen an old pair of kitchen shears I'm quite fond of that were so dull from repeated use they'd hardly cut anything anymore. I had my doubts it would work for me or be very easy to use due to my inexperience sharpening and lack of having a clue as to how to do it. I must say, I was quite surprised at how well it worked and how easy it was even for me to use. I became quite impressed with this nifty little gadget quite quickly after trying it out on a few different things:Upon receiving this item I read the directions and immediately tried the sharpener out on that favored pair of shears. After only a minute or two of trying the sharpener I had the scissors cutting again like they hadn't in years. Not to mention it was so easy to sharpen them even I was able to do it after quickly reading through the directions once too. I was so impressed I next decided to try it out on a cheap pair of dollar store scissors that would only cut paper and not particularly well at that. Again, to my surprise, in a minute or two of sharpening I had them cutting fabric when they were never able to before.I then shared my experience with my boyfriend and mentioned I was going to find a knife to try it out on and he completely astounded me and volunteered his beloved pocket knife that he usually doesn't let anyone hardly touch but himself for me to try my new sharpener out on. For some background information, you should know my boyfriend is an old hand at sharpening and sharpens his pocket knife on a regular basis with a sharpening stone and all that as he likes to keep it razor sharp at all times. At the time, he just happened to have gotten busy and was uncharacteristically behind in sharpening his beloved knife as he usually did. Before he could change his mind I jumped at the chance to try to sharpen his knife, and to a level even he was satisfied with at that Before I commenced with sharpening my boyfriend's knife, both he and I felt it to judge its current level of sharpness. After that I proceeded to try my hand at sharpening his knife, and once again, after only a minute or two, I had it where at least I thought it felt quite sharp again. I then handed my boyfriend back his knife so he could make the true, and final verdict as to how well the sharpener worked. And the knife even passed my boyfriend's experienced muster, as he was actualkt quite surprised and impressed with the level of sharpness even inexperienced me managed to get his beloved knife to with this sharpener.Given the fact even novice old me was able to understand the directions then adequately use this sharpener, and quickly, to actually sharpen different things with it, I highly recommend this sharpener to anyone!UPDATE! After all this time this sharpener still works fantastically on everything I sharpen with it. My boyfriend has even taken to using my sharpener to sharpen his beloved pocket knife with half the time instead of his sharpening stone,

Title: Very effective
Review: Better than most of its category. The only negative side is that the base is a suction cup system, so unless you work it carefully you'll have to stick it on some plain surface which I don't see a problem with that. I'll buy it again.

Review: Es un excelente afilador de cuchillos, facil de usar, practico y por la fuerza de aspiración que tiene se siente bastante seguro de utilizar. tenia 9 cuchillos que pensaba tirar por que ya no cortaban absolutamente nada, pero decidí probar suerte con este producto y la verdad es que mis cuchillos revivieron. incluso probé afilando cuchillos de otros familiares.Sin embargo vi muchos comentarios y debido a todo el uso que le di, te dejare algunos puntos que aprendí y note durante el uso por si tienes pensado comprarlo.1- Seguridad - Es bastante seguro por la fuerza de agarre, trate quitarla de todas las formas posibles y no logre conseguirlo, aun así se tiene que recordar que estas tratando con un cuchillo y tienes que ser lo mas cuidadoso posible, Lo que aprendí al utilizarlo es que no debes pararte de frente al afilador, debes estar a un lado y afilando de costado por si el cuchillo llega a pasarse no te pueda cortar de ninguna manera. Lo segundo es agarrar siempre el cuchillo con las dos manos, una en el mango y la otra sobre el cuchillo para aplicar cierta presión, Presión que no debe ser mucha ni debes pasarlo a gran velocidad por que puedes causar un accidente o en caso de que se llegase a desprender el afilador puedas controlar el cuchillo. Así que aunque es un producto seguro, la verdadera seguridad la haces tu al momento de afilar.2- Desgaste por afilar - Es cierto que el producto desgasta los cuchillos con el uso, pero tampoco es que vaya a comerse todo el cuchillo al primer uso, de todos los cuchillos que estuve afilando que fueron mas de 15, no sentí que soltara tantos residuos, lo poco que soltó se me hizo normal, ya que termino reparando algunos filos que incluso tenían abolladuras. También el desgaste depende del grosor y la dureza del cuchillo, lo probé con cuchillos duros y baratos y soltó un poco mas de residuos, tardo mas en afilar, que al pasar unos cuchillos victorinox, estos se afilaron rápido y soltaron menos residuos. Dicho esto y desde mi punto de vista prefiero que el afilador se coma 1 gramo del cuchillo para quedar afilado por bastante tiempo, que tener que tirar o remplazar todos mis cuchillos porque no cortan absolutamente nada.3- Tiempo que tarda en afilar - Muchos piensan que con pasar el cuchillo un par de veces ya podrá cortar absolutamente todo, y esto es falso, ese caso seria en realidad para pulir el filo de un cuchillo que previamente ya estaba afilado, El tiempo del afilado desde 0 de un cuchillo, será relativo al grosor, tamaño y dureza del cuchillo y también a la calidad del metal del que esta fabricado el mismo, evidentemente un cuchillo flexible y delgado podrá afilarse incluso mas rápido que un cuchillo duro y grueso. y Aunque es un afilador sencillo de utilizar y que prácticamente puede hacerlo todo el mundo, la realidad es que si tienes experiencia afilando cuchillos con anterioridad ya sea por tu trabajo o necesidad podrás sacarle incluso un poco mas de ventaja al producto y será mas seguro de utilizar.4- Filo - Antes de comprarlo tienes que saber que NO te sacar el filo mas potente del mundo, creo que ni los afiladores mas caros podrían hacerlo, tomando en cuenta que los filos de los mejores cuchillos de fabrica vienen de maquinas especiales y no de pequeños afiladores como estos. pero SI te sacaran un filo muy decente y funcional que te servirá al menos por un par de meses (depende del uso). Nuevamente en mi caso mis cuchillos victorinox que pensaba tirarlos y comprar otros porque no eran capaces ni de poder cortar un cartón, pude revivirlos gracias a el filo que conseguí con este afilador. No recuperaron el filo de fabrica pero si un filo decente que podía cortar el papel solo con pasar el cuchillo, por eso pienso que el material del cuchillo también dependerá en mayor parte de el filo que puedas sacarle al mismo.5- Limpieza - se hace un poco complicado de limpiar tanto la goma que se aferra a la mesa como la parte donde cae todos los residuos de los cuchillos, sin embargo tampoco es algo del otro mundo, que no pueda arreglarse con una brocha o algún otro kit de limpieza.Para mi es un buen producto que cumple totalmente con lo que promete. Si tomas en cuenta los 5 puntos anteriores que mencione y sientes que no te molestan o no tienes ningún problema en lo absoluto entonces recomiendo totalmente darle una oportunidad al producto sobre todo si lo encuentras en oferta.
