Title: Powerful and Efficient
Review: This fan has exceeded my expectations with its strong performance, affordability, and user-friendly features.Firstly, the power of this fan is impressive. It delivers strong airflow, making it a great alternative to air conditioning, especially in terms of energy efficiency. It's perfect for keeping cool without running up the electricity bill. The build quality is excellent for the price. It feels sturdy and well-made, indicating durability and reliability. Setting it up was a breeze, taking only about 10 minutes to get it installed and ready for use.Cleaning is straightforward, thanks to its design. The fan is easy to wipe down and maintain, ensuring it stays in good condition with minimal effort. The remote control is a standout feature. It works flawlessly from any angle I tried, providing convenience and ease of operation. Additionally, the fan offers numerous timer settings, allowing for customized use and further enhancing its functionality. One minor drawback is the lack of a single power button on the fan itself. Turning it off requires using the remote or rapidly pressing the button which changes the fan speed, which can be a bit inconvenient.

Title: Who needs ceiling fans?
Review: My bedroom ceiling fan died this summer. I live in a hot climate, where a ceiling fan being out of commission is not a problem you can comfortably ignore. I took a chance on this fan just to have a quick replacement until I deal with the ceiling fan. Now we're in October and fixing the ceiling fan has been put off repeatedly because this thing is better than the ceiling fan in my opinon.Remote control is a nice extra. It will turn fan on or off, has a separate button that cycles through 3 fan speeds, and a timer button that seems to start a "turn off in 30 minutes" countdown--I can't say as I run it all night. You might want a button to control oscillation, but there's where you're out of luck. I'm assuming that this saves money, and honestly, it doesn't really matter to me -- who is switching between direct fan and oscillating fan over and over anyhow? Just having the remote and adjusting speed from bed is the best part.Noise. It isn't quiet even on lowest speed. If you watch TV at night in your bedroom, you are going to have to turn up the TV and/or turn down the fan most likely. Again, to me this is an easy compromise for live-preserving breezes.Assembly was pretty easy. Attaching the stand pieces together didn't really need instructions if you've ever put anything with a telescoping base together before, but there are instructions. You'll need to attach the fan blade and secure it with a nut, and you'll need to patiently work the front cover of the fan into place to keep fingers out of the spinning blade. This was the longest part of the build because it kept popping loose when I almost had it secured. Maybe I just wasn't good at it 🙂 It certainly wasn't annoying enough to detract from recommending the fan.All in all, it has outlived my intended use for it, and shows no issues. I've come to like it better than the ceiling fan, and the noise kinda fades into the background (I'm usually running on medium or low). If I ever fix the ceiling fan this will be a nice addition to the garage-workshop. If.

Title: I'm...confused, Black+ Decker. Where's the air?
Review: This BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote seemed like a good buy. I've owned many Black + Decker products over the years and while their products don't always have all the "bells and whistles" of other brands, I've been able to count on the products being well built, reliable, and fairly priced. Before I purchase any product on Amazon, I read all the 1-star reviews and some of the 5-star. I was surprised to read several reviews from customers claiming the BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote doesn't blow air. I honestly chalked those up to people who were expecting a wind tunnel experience and were disappointed to receive a normal house fan experience instead. The first week I had the fan the temperature wasn't as hot as its been the past few days. I was using the fan on either the low or medium speed and it was working fine. But the temperature has been in the upper 80s - low 90s lately and I've needed to use the high speed setting, except......when I first switch it to high, the fan produces a very strong gust of air, and accompanying that, the fan gets a bit louder. But after 2-3 minutes, that strong gust disappears and the strength of the air blowing from the fan more closely resembles the lowest setting. What makes this so confusing is the fan blades don't appear to be moving any more slowly, and if there's any change in the fan's volume, it's barely perceptible. My decibel meter registers a drop in volume of only about 5 decibels. In all the many years I've been a Prime member, I've refunded/returned only a half-dozen items. Unfortunately, this BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote will be going back, too.Rather than taking a chance with a replacement of the same fan, I've already ordered one made by Lasko instead. If you purchase the BLACK+DECKER 18-Inch Stand Fan with Remote the fan you receive may work perfectly - there are enough 5-star reviews to prove most of them do.But be prepared for the possibility you may get a lemon, and keep its box and all its shipping materials in case you have to pack it up and send it back. It will make that process, at least, far much easier.

Review: This is a workhorse fan that I got for my daughter who seems to need a fan every night as she sleeps. It's a bit annoying but she keeps it running and really seems to enjoy the air. Remote control works great, easy assembly.

Review: It's working great, though it's made by cheap looking plastic, thus it seemed wobbly but we never move it around anyways so it isn't really a problem. We just put it in one spot in our living room and it works perfectly well. I love that it's doing its job cooling our place, with remote control that is easy to change its speed. Assembly is easy, too.

Customers say

Customers like the functionality of the electric fan. They mention it works well from any angle and flawlessly. However, some customers have reported issues with sturdiness, missing parts, and functionality. Opinions are mixed on noise level, ease of assembly, value for money, and air flow.
