Title: A timeless classic cookbook you will use over and over!
Review: I received this book right after it was published. Twenty-one years later, it is dog-eared, written in, stained and dirty. The best cookbook I own--by far. Someday, my kids will get it and remember the cheesecakes we had on holidays, remember how I traded out a cheesecake with a machine quilter to finish up a quilt for me, and remember how I taught a girlfriend to make cheesecake, using this book. It has pages of great tips, unique recipes, lots of history behind some of the cakes, easy and accurate instructions and good photos. I just gave one for Christmas because I am tired of loaning it out. Great book, great gift, and a must for anyone who makes cheesecakes.

Title: The best cheesecake resource!
Review: Long out of print but one of THE best resources on cheesecake. Thorough explanations of WHY ingredients and preparation techniques work. A treasure trove of recipes, from dry to creamy. I have had it for years and after raving about to my dental hygienist, bought her a used copy. Well worth the price.

Title: The Joy of Cheesecake Is a True Joy
Review: The Joy of Cheesecake offers more than an extensive collection of recipes, It explains the effect that changes in ingredients and technique can make in your cheesecake. This, as well as usefull suggestions make it easy to create your own recipes. I was able to come up with a chestnut cheesecake that was beautifull and well recieved by my friends. It wasn't perfect, but I'm confident that I can improve it ..or maybe I'll make the almond cheesecake on page 98 if I include a bit of brown sugar with the cream cheese it should get a nice tan surface that will look and taste marvelous!

Title: Loved this book but my copy was destroyed. Some excellent recipes. Excited to find used copy.
Review: I first purchased this book, new, in the 1980s. I tried several recipes that were excellent.Unfortunately, my copy was stored on a basement bookshelf, and a water leak destroyed it.I was excited to find this used.

Title: Best I've ever had
Review: I'd bought this book before and it went missing sometime during a move. Bought it again solely for the pumpkin cheesecake recipe. Best I've ever had. The book overall is great for teaching you the chemistry of cheesecakes if you have interest in that, and is wonderful at teaching you why something is done a certain way rather than just telling you to do it. Would definitely recommend this for someone who has that type of interest. It's about half recipes and half instructional. Overall, a really good book to have.

Review: Love love love this cheesecake cook book. I had a copy years ago and it was stolen by a crazy relative. But I have a new copy and I get to again make and enjoy the wonderful cheesecakes that are in this book. I recommend the book if you want to dazzle those who are cheesecake officianatos.

It's not a book to just browse through and admire the wonderful photo treatments. It's full of incredibly creative recipes that you'll want to use over and over.
