Title: Perfect size and weight, wide opening
Review: This is my 3rd purchase of this product. Have one at home and one at work. After 10+ years of use my home unit stopped turning on. As I only use it with purified water it has remained pristine through the years. Avoid all plastic when possible. Prefer a wide opening. It rapidly heats the water, faster than gas range or microwave. Gets used multiple times a day.

Title: Very good tea kettle.
Review: I use this as a tea kettle, and it works well. It's more basic than my previous kettle, this one doesn't have any temperature settings or stay warm button, it's literally the kettle and an on/off switch with a bell that goes off once the water has heated up, but that's all you really need. I use it with distilled water, so it never cakes up with limescale. Highly recommended, basic but reliable.

Title: I’m in love
Review: This is simply the best electric tea pot I’ve had in 40 years! It heats water very quickly, is easy to fill, I love the window to gauge the fill level, love the little blue light on the on button. I’ve had it over a year with no problems. And did I say I’m in love? Yes, with this brand as I also purchased the Braville 4 slice toaster. It also is perfect! And I love the little chime when the toast is done to perfection!

Title: Breville’s multiple temperature functions…bonus!
Review: Love, love, love my new Breville tea kettle!!! I ordered the Breville Soft Top Pure Kettle (BKE700BSS) two days ago, it arrived yesterday and I used it for the first time this morning. The multiple functions are ideal as I drink Java and my mother drinks green tea, so it was a win-win and I would recommend this for your next electric tea kettle purchase.

Title: Good quality kettle
Review: I really like this kettle, looks and feels like a good strong quality kettle, use it daily for the past 4 years or so and has never failed. It has a removeable scale filter, a sight glass, cool exterior and handle, rubberized grip for no slip control, the chord will wind up in base or extend if you need the extra length. Will definitely buy this again.

Title: Great design, limited life
Review: This kettle is super fast to heat water and loaded with features like auto shutoff if too little water is in it, a bell that dings when it's done boiling. It is nicely balanced, and holds a lot of water. Sadly, it only lasted four years. I seldom throw away appliances without trying to fix them and this was no exception. After pulling apart the innards a couple of times to get at the two contacts that control the power to clean them, I gave up. You can see one of the two in the bottom right of this picture mounted on a clever arm that is operated by several different mechanisms. The rest of the innards were in great shape but as with many devices, the power contacts finally failed. Do not try to repair this yourself...mechanical and electrical hazards are present inside when the kettle is opened and powered up.

Title: Bought 2, one for home & one for work.
Review: After having one of these at home for years, I bought one for use at my motorcycle dealership. They both have held up extremely well for YEARS!!!! The shop has 30 employees and many are tea drinkers, this "kettle" is used 6 days a week several times a day. Good quality ain't cheap and cheap quality ain't good.

Review: This is my second one, my first kettle lasted about 10 years. Breville is the best brand out there for all my kitchen appliances. Are they more expensive, yes. Do they last forever, also yes. Review: This is the second time I have bought this kettle, as it seems to me, to be a near perfect product. At up to 1.7 litres, this kettle allows enough water heating for a family coffee break, in an energy efficient size. The scale on the side of the kettle enables persons, to judge very accurately, just how much water needs to be heated for the task in hand. It is also a very handsome looking kettle and will not make your kitchen look “kitch”. Real men would not shy away from using this kettle, as it has a very manly and strongly engineered look about it; unlike some kettles that I have seen. It would also seem to be a very safe kettle to use with a decent distance from the handle to the potentially hot body.

Review: Good quality stainless steel kettle with the very basic functions. However, we're very impressed with the extra design efforts on the details - from looking to touching, it makes a difference and an overall much better experience. I'd say its focus on user experience has made it worth the money.
