Title: A must have for the upcoming heat waves

Title: For small area/ leaks ruined floor!!!
Review: First let me explain about my situation, the place I stay at is small and the owner of this house converted it into 2 apartments , well the thermostat is in the other apartment and basically that person is family because my roommate/ best friend is their sister and since my paraplegice r father and my mother ( just had hip surgery) are staying here also! Now I pay extra every month to keep the AC at a certain temp, well before he leaves for work he decides to either shut off the AC ( cuz he can’t e iceenjoy it while at work) or if for some reason he hears a noise at night he shut it off and punished us!! I had no choice but to purchase something to keep a small space cool at least during the day, I wanted a window unit portable ac but the noise level would cause him to always shut off the ac on a 93 degree day when my half of house is in the straight sun from sunrise until about 4 pm!!! This is my routine everyday 9 am throw 2 icecube trays into the water container along with maybe a quart of cold fridge water, ( make sure to refreeze the trays) then around 2pm I put in the ice packs that were provided ( THEY SUCK) about 4pm I then add the 2 ice trays again ( and re freeze) and just about 11 or so before bed I use 2 trays of cubes and the terrible ice packs that came with the unit!!! I can say that it does continue to blow cool air as long as there is ice in the thing where water goes, and it’s pretty much instantly cold air blowing , the setting for the unit are pretty cool there is a few options to choose from!!! Cleaning is easy and I like that!! But I do kinda think it’s a bit expensive, but it definitely saved me from actually making the whole with holding the AC. with my best friends brother a legal issue! I can tell you it did not get five stars cuz of the crappy ice packs ( Trey are super special apparently) super melting technology!! If you are trying to cool at least a 300 square foot area then this should be alright bug I’d advise having another fan going to circulate the cool air the unit provides!!! Hope this helped!!! NOT QUITE SURE WHAT HAPPENED , BUT THE ENTIRE BACK OF WHERE THE FILTER IS IS SOAKING WET AND DRIPPING AND I HAD THIS UNIT ON A LANDING NIT THE CARPET BUT IT LEAKED DO DAMN BAD NOW MY CARPET IS SCREWED!!! Not happy right now if you can tell, I’m pretty sure that the water is even coming out by the bladeless fan dripping water down the front!!! Calling customer care tomorrow 9/2/24 to get to bottom of who will fix my carpet and give me my money back!!!
