DIRECTION FOR USE: Our slim, single battery-operated device is easy to use and convenient to store. To use, first wait for an insect to settle, then press the button to start the motor while slowly moving closer to it. When in range, gently suck the insect into the catch tube, then put the safety cap on to prevent escape. Once the insect is caught, observe it or safely release it at arm's length.

Title: Spider round up
Review: This is my second one and I have been able to easily catch a couple of spiders. While the suction is not as strong as a vacuum it is strong enough to do its job. Easy to catch and release. Both battery cap and bug cap fit securely.

Title: Not a Good Product. Keep your money.
Review: I am returning this plus another bug vacuum I bought from Amazon. Both are wholly unsatisfactory. Hardly any suction. I don't know if that is because they are primarily designed for children to use. I am ordering a hand held "dustbuster" type of hand vac made for general household use instead of these useless toys. For the price of these toys I am quite dis-satisfied. So will spend just a few dollars more for a "real" hand vac which I will reserve for bugs only. I suggest you do the same, unless you are buying the bug vacuum for a small child. However, they may get frustrated as well, because these things do not pick up bugs of any size!!! We do get seasonal swarms of a couple of types of bugs that are not harmful, just annoying--and my cats think the bugs have arrived just for them to play with--on the window screens, etc. Really need a good way to get rid of the bugs without squishing them on the window screens or walls. Eewwwwww! I give these products zero star ratings, but had to pick a rating of at least one star to submit the review.

Title: This Does it's Job!
Review: I have been searching and buying much fancier bug vacuums that just fall apart after a month or two and on top of that, have no function to prevent them from escaping after you vacuum them. This is a marvelous, simple device. The Plastic casing is sturdy and durable, The clear extension tube is perfectly fine as well, sturdy. And it comes with a cap you can place on the end to prevent, guess what, the bugs escaping after vacuuming them. It has a nice and easy to grip handle, and is very lightweight. And releasing the bugs is much easier than those fancy vacuums I tried, they don't stick to the plastic extension tube, a few taps on it and they come falling out of it. Easy peasy.To address reviews that complain about the suction, it runs on a 9-Volt battery for goodness sake. It's not a high powered vacuum obviously, but it is plenty powerful for suck up a bug, given it's namesake purpose. The video review that is trying to vacuum hair, is equally inane, that's not what it's supposed to do.If you are looking to address a bug problem, this is a great choice. It does not come with 9-Volt Battery, so you probably want to add that to your purchase. I would recommend this simple, sturdy device for bug sucking.

Title: Works ok
Review: This gadget works ok. I agree with what many others say, it has pretty weak suction. I wish the suction was stronger. I bought it to catch spiders that are in my mom’s house… they are the ones with super fine, thin legs and they are delicate so they get sucked in easily. But stronger bugs, I can see how this weak suction wouldn’t work on them.

Review: I LOVE the Bug Buster (mine is yellow). It sucks JUST ENUF to pull the bug in, without injuring it. The clear tube allows you to safely stare at & visually inspect the bug IF you're interested. 😁 Then you have to easily pull the cap off, BUT make sure the bug is not ON the cap.

Title: Not worth the money.
Review: I rarely write reviews but I feel that this one warrants one. In the spring, we have a problem with Asian beetles (they look like ladybugs). We literally get hundreds, if not thousands, of them on and around our windows. Reading up on how to handle the problem, the article informed us that the best way to get rid of them was to vacuum them up and release them outside (it seems that they are all over the windows trying to get out!). The article mentioned this item specifically to get them out. While the vacuum is easy to use, it has absolutely NO suction power. Also, the bottom battery cover does not stay on. It falls off every time I use it. You literally have to get the tube on the critter and sometimes have to nudge them in. Not worth the money. I would go the extra money and get a Dustbuster or a Shark cordless vacuum and do the job. You can still release the bugs outside. I will keep this just to use for the occasional spider or wasp that gets in the house, but if I didn't already have it, I wouldn't buy it.

Title: Decent device but sucking power, sucks.
Review: I purchased this item because I can’t stand getting too close to bugs. The thought of one getting on my skin is enough to cause a slight panic.The Bug Buster keeps the insects at arms length so I don’t have to worry about a bug jumping into my hand.It’s very easy to setup (Just pop in one 9-volt battery) and it’s lightweight. The idea is great but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. It works decently but I thought it would suck harder.The instruction manual states that “bug will be sucked rapidly into the tube”. They must have a different definition of the word, rapidly, because it’s far from it. The suction is very light and I had trouble sucking up a couple earwigs. After multiple attempts, I eventually got them into the tube.Once caught, the bugs were easily released outside and cleanup is very easy. A little dish soap and some hot water on the tube and a disinfectant wipe on the vent area.I wish there was an option to choose the color. The yellow isn’t my favorite. It doesn’t seem to be the most sturdy either. I don’t plan on this happening but it seems like it would break if dropped.So basically I was disappointed in the sucking power. If that could somehow be increased, it would be the perfect bug catcher.

I catch flies at the window throughout the day. It’s excellent for catching wasps safely & releasing them.All around Handy product!
