Title: Great little kitchen tool!
Review: I purchase this potato ricer for the specific purpose of extracting pulp from wild American persimmons. If you have done this then you know it's much more difficult than making mashed potatoes. It comes with 3 discs with small, medium and large holes. I used the medium disc to do the extraction. I've used this on a daily basis for a couple weeks and the handles, container and disc seem to hold up to a lot of pressure, and I didn't notice any deforming. They all come apart for ease of cleaning. Like I said, extracting pulp from persimmons is much more difficult so I imagine mashing potatoes should be a cinch. This little kitchen tool saved me a lot of time and efforts!

Title: Great just not very large.
Review: This is a wonderful heavy, well made product. I’ve used mine several times. The only issue I have is the amount of food that can be mashed/ riced at a time. It just doesn’t hold enough. For instance, large potatoes I have to cut into several smaller chunks to fit into ricer/ masher.

Title: A ridiculous description of the potato ricer.
Review: I don't know where this device has been in my life. Before I got this potato ricer, my marriage was in the dumps. My wife was ready to leave me, the dog had run away. Even my body was trying to yeet me away. It was very sad. Then I got this potato ricer. It has saved everything. The potatoes where so smooth, the wife smiled at me for the first time in months. She won't stop telling everyone about my amazing food. It was that powerful. Dog came home and gave me big kiss before eating my amazing potatoes. This thing is that powerful. If you like cooking and you don't have potato ricer, you are failing. Take your apron and put it out of it's misery because it's disappointed in you. It would rather go out in a blaze of glory than be worn by you.So now you know the power of this device. It is amazing. It makes mashing potatoes very easy and you will not regret it.On a negative note: when mashing, sometimes the attachment sticks to the masher. I think it's just testing if we really care about our food when it does this.

Title: works better than expected
Review: Other than another item to clean after making mashers the device sure makes the whole process fun and way easier than a mixer or fork mashing by hand. Putting taters in here and into a bowl and a quick mix in with a sturdy spoon and yer ready to eat.

Title: Arrived broken
Review: My wife ordered this product because she wanted creamier mashed potatoes. The product arrived with the handle on one side that had been spot welded to the main potato masher. While the overall product appears to be heavy duty, if the handle is broken off on arrival I wouldn't consider the masher "Heavy duty". I wanted her to send it back but she was bound and determined she was going to use the masher regardless of its condition or functionality because she wanted her mashed potatoes. So she used the masher even though it was "Much" harder to use without the handle on one side of the masher to mash her potatoes. It worked but I did not consider it convenient and I expect she will be hesitant to use it again in the future. The cleanup of all the parts for me is also not worth it but that is my opinion. So while it works, it was broken on arrival, difficult to use broken, extra work on cleanup. Marginable at best.

Title: A few big flaws make this ricer a pain to use
Review: I ended up throwing throwing this ricer away after using it a few times. It does work, but there's a few pretty big flaws that make it garbage.The biggest problem is the interchangeable plates. They're thoughtful, but horribly executed on this particular model. The plates themselves aren't thick enough to take the stress of pushing even soft potatoes through. They bend, then end up getting pressed through. All the food falls out un-riced, and you have to pick it out. It's a pain in the butt, and making preparing large quantities of food take forever. The only solution I found was to press very slowly (taking even longer to prepare). The other problem is the plates stick to the press plate once you've used it a few times. You have to pick it off and reset it over and over. Overall the experience is pretty poor.Another problem is the overall length of the item make it too short to sit on some pots. It will fit on smaller sauce pans, but not on my smaller stock pot.I've looked at others. There are models with interchangeable plates that have an insert that keeps the plate secure. I ended up buy a model that's very similar to this one, but the container section and the ricer plate are a single piece. This solves all the problems I mentioned above with the interchangeable plates. If you don't need interchangeable plates, I recommend the single piece option. Otherwise, look for one that allows you to lock the plate in place.

Review: Shipping was quick, product was just as we imagined, well made and sturdy. Not sure why some are bending or breaking these, you do know you have to cut and boil your potatoes right ? Maybe you should just stick to fast food and forego playing chef. You ain't cut out for the kitchen. Perfect easy ricing every time. If I had a pet monkey and he watched me do this even once, he would be ricing potatoes for us every meal without incident. Great product that you your family and pet monkey will love.

Review: The package was received. Packaging was sufficient to go thru the mail system withoutdamage to the box or contents. Product was wrapped in plastic in it original box. The 3 discsare in the base cup but you may wish to store them using a paper disc/filter between them asthey have an edge. I have had to change my review as two of the 3 discs failed within 45 days.Overall the product appears to be durable and works great as intended if you are extremely careful. The handle guards work well both with holding the ricer as well as dissipating heat from the cup contents. Lastly, customers should be aware that the cup is not large so potatoes or vegetables must be cubed to fitproperly when pressed. Any pressure on the plates will cause them to bend and fall out or jam inside the cup itself. I had acquired wrist issues over the years so I felt that having this would have helped me personally as a cook and chef. I can use the old fashion potato masher so it may be a better choice over this product. I was able to straighten the discs as I was unable to contact the company for support or assistance. Suggest the put a seal around the discs or at the base of the cups to avoid this problem.There are numerous recipes online that I can now consider - as such customers do not needto limit themselves to uses of this product.
