Title: The best "gateway" strategy game since Splendor, fantastic for families with kids as young as 8
Review: I tend to lean toward the "heavier" side of strategy games, things like Everdell, Terra Mystica, Castles of Burgundy, and Voyages of Marco Polo. However, sometimes you just want a fun, easy to play game that has just enough strategy to keep you interested, without jarring the sensibilities of the less "hardcore" players. In the past, Splendor was my go-to game of this kind, but I am ecstatic to add Cascadia into the mix. It's a fantastic blend of fast, easy to learn playability, with just enough strategy to keep things interesting. The core strategies are simple -- form an arrangement of animals in a pattern to score points, while attempting to match (as best as possible) the terrain types to maximize bonus scoring. The minor mechanic that lets you alter the basic tile/animal selection (the pine cone "bonus" tiles) is just perfect for adding a little bit more strategy without radically altering the core. Our family loves it. My 9 and 11 year-olds enjoy the theme with the wildlife and animals, and the overall strategy is clear to them (even if they are still learning the nuances). The parts are well made; the terrain tiles and animal tokens are a nice, thick cardstock. The bag, box, and storage are compact and easy to manage.I suspect over time this will be a game ripe for expansions, as I can see perhaps after 25+ plays that you might want more variety in animals, terrain, and scoring options. But even out of the box you're getting a fantastic game at a very good price, one that's absolutely worth having in your collection.

Title: Great puzzley game for game nights or family nights
Review: Cascadia is such a fun and relaxing game! Youâre basically building little ecosystems with tiles and matching animal tokens, and the artwork is super pretty. Itâs really easy to pick up and play, but thereâs enough strategy to keep things interesting. I love how each game feels fresh because of the different ways to score points. Itâs perfect for families or just casual game nights. If you like nature or puzzle games, definitely give it a try!

Title: Exactly what it says it is: fun, easy to learn, quick to play
Review: I read the instructions, watched a play-through on YouTube and then played my first game. Lots of fun, challenging but not too impossible. I thought I would like it but was surprised by how much I enjoyed playing. Even solo playing is fun. And the artwork is lovely, making the game a visual joy as the play goes along.

Title: Awesome Game!
Review: This game is easy to learn but surprisingly deep! It requires careful planning and adaptation to circumstances. Highly replayable for both kids and adults.Kids love the animal tokens and are able to quickly and easily grasp the fundamentals of the game. Adults enjoy the strategy and planning aspects. Everyone leaves with a sense of accomplishment and I have yet to see much in the way of bad feelings.I highly recommend this game for everyone!

Title: A great game for families and friends - the best new game in a couple of years.
Review: We love this game. I don't know of a game that is so easy to learn, but so complex in strategy. It is a great family game for kids 12 plus, but it also keeps the adults challenged. It is structured with different game cards so no two games are the same - the strategy developed for the last game might not work for the next. And there is an element of education about the landscape and animals of the Pacific Northwest.

Title: Love this game
Review: This game is a lot of fun. My family plays it a lot. It has a few different cards to use so you can change it up once you play the one for awhile. Great quality game pieces. If you enjoy board games this one is a must have!

Title: Very enjoyable!
Review: This is a very enjoyable game that is fairly easy to learn. Some included variations help if everyone is getting too good at it! Game time does not take long, we often play 2-3 rounds in a sitting. A good game to play when everyone still likes to chat and snack!

Review: Pros: Easy to learn, enjoyable to play, great animal/nature theme, visually impressive, replayability is excellent due to the card scoring elements and it's great to play on your own or with friends.Cons: You're only given 5 starter packs. So if you want to play with more than 5 people then you need to buy the game again, or buy the Landmarks expansion.

Review: I bought this for my mum, and it is now one of her favourite games. It is easy to set up and play, with added challenges due to the different animal goal cards. The game is fairly simple to understand, too. However, personally, I find it to be relatively expensive for what it is, so I would recommend waiting for a discount.

Review: The game mechanics are really easy to understand and it's fun right away. This is my new favorite tile-laying game. The goal how to score points is randomizes (putting animals in pairs, a straight line, circles etc) which means every game is different. If that's not enough they give you adnventure tasks where you have to play with certain limitations to make more interestingThere is a single player option as well which works quite nicelyI played on almost every game night since I bought!
