Review: Not exactly a piece of high tech, but it minimized the footprint of my knife collection and the stainless steel with black is attractive. Blades aren't held in place like in a wood block but just hang down from a grate at the top that the handles rest on. Air can flow through it so moisture on the blades will dry, which I like.

Review: I like how small a space it takes on countertop. I got it in black/stainless and it goes so well with my countertop appliances. It took me a little while to figure out which knives work best in which slots as the slots are different widths. Overall, I like it just would have preferred more 'thin' slots. I have the same number of knives in it as I did in my huge old wood knife block that took up a lot of valuable counterspace.
