Title: ODD!
Review: This is a very well-made (in the USA) area rug designed for play. It just seems strange that one side of the 6’ X 6’ rug (3’ X 6’) is an exact duplicate of the other. I did look at the other size options for this rug and found that no matter the size, there is one repeated 3’ X 6’ pattern. After some confusion (they thought they could only play on one section each), the kids are ignoring the pattern as they build houses or other structures and place them over the printed areas. But I remain curious as to the why of it? Is an expanded design that much more difficult? There are many considerably less expensive options available that provide a full city extending over the entire area of the rug.For quality, this is a 5 STAR product. For design, it earns 0 STARS. I settled on 2 stars for this size when the high price was factored in, but if I were looking at the larger versions, this would be reduced to 1-star.

Title: Very high quality, but outdated and pricey
Review: This is a very very high quality play rug/mat for sure. It's thick and heavy and the corners don't curl up on you, even freshly unrolled! It's clearly designed with heavy foot traffic in mind (like for a classroom). In fact, it comes with this great booklet you can use to teach as you play, with a little informational blurb about each stop in the town. That being said, for the price, it's too repetitive! It's basically just one smaller city scene duplicated and flipped the other direction. I really think for the price, they could've designed a more versatile scene with a park or playground, an airport, a grocery store etc. Also, what the heck is a depot? Can't you call it a train station? What English speaking child (or adult for that matter uses the word depot? I think FACTORY is a little outdated as well. Bottom line: the rug itself is really well made and high quality, but it the design is pretty lame.

Title: Almost a perfect play mat... Almost!
Review: My son LOVES to lay on his belly and play cars... for hours! We have a small play rug like this and he loves it, so I jumped at the chance to try this. At first, I thought this would just be a larger version on the little Melissa and Doug rug, but it's much more durable - hence the price point.First off, I should have measured better. Six feet by six feet is HUGE! Oh well, more room for both my boys to spread out. The biggest distinction of this rug from my small on is the quality. It's very thick and tough. Not only would this survive my kids and their friends, I think it would hold up well in the daycare/preschool playroom. The colors are great and the detail is nice. My one complaint is that this size just duplicates the picture twice. So, rather than a full town scene that spans the six feet, it's one image that's 3x6 and then just repeated right next to it. For the price, I think they could have just made a 6x6 town. But my kids don't mind, so I only docked one star.

Title: This is loads of fun
Review: This is just fantastic. Only one small thing to fuss about. Edging is nicely done. It feels sturdy. Colors are bright and fun. Design is cute. Color application is clear, consistent, and evenly done. The kidlets do all sorts of things on this and we have lots of fun on it.The one thing I could whinge about is that I think they should have done the whole thing as a unique picture, instead of just doing half and copying it to the other side. With the 6x6 size, it's not too bad, but getting into the other sizes, for me, makes them just, well, just not what I'd like.Anyway, as I said, at the size we got, it's not a huge deal, and we've really enjoyed it.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Title: Rug of Town Provides Hours of Fun
Review: If you are looking for a toy which will provide hours of fun, the children in our family enjoy playing with this rug. They use trucks, cars and other vehicles on it. There are schools, hospitals, police station, train station, lake, train tracks, roads and moreNote that some of the same buildings are on either side of the rug, so two children or more can play at once and have some of the same buildings.Perfect for a playroom, classroom or the center of your family room or living room. Ideal for children 3 years on up.It looks inviting to sit on and play on. Adults may want to join in, too!Our nephew played on it for hours.

Title: Traffic Jam on the rug!
Review: He loves the cars, they keep him busy on his racetrack Disney rug for hours. Hundreds of different types and sizes in his room, but he loves the smaller cars the best. We replaced the small racetrack Disney rug with this very large 6 feet by 6 feet Places to go rug. He loves it! Lots of room for playing with his cars and protect the new hardwood floors!

Title: Heavy
Review: This is a thick, heavy, good quality rug. I recently drug it outside to air it out a bit and it is almost miserably heavy trying to get it over the deck railing lol but I managed, and this is ultimately a good quality.I have this in my little guys bedroom and he loves it, he drives all different sizes of his cars and trucks all over it. I wish it wasn't just the same scene repeated, and that there was some more variety/options for him, but he still likes it. There was no odor at all and I have vacuumed it several times (and even cleaned some pee out of it, mom life) and it still looks brand new.It came with a little handbook but I don't think anyone would really find it of value.
