Title: Works amazingly but instructions are unclear
Review: New Review:After looking through youtube videos for "BSP D8" I was able to find the issue. If using on android, you need to power off and hold x first before pressing the power button. The manual states to "press (x+home) for 2 seconds" and that is incredibly unclear. Holding x and then pressing the power button will instantly switch the controller mode to android with a yellow light but the controller has to be powered off while performing any mode switching.Another thing is that this controller costs more than half off on Aliexpress with free shipping. But shipping takes 2 weeks or more.Anyway, this controller is a gem no matter where you get it. It is easily a better controller than the Backbone or other blutooth controllers for that matter. It is sturdy and extends to fit tablets. The buttons and LR triggers are all Hall Effect! The dpad and ABXY buttons might be slightly less pressy than a console controller but definitely feel better than other blutooth controllers.Hopefully this review helps some of you.----Old Review:Other bluetooth controllers are easy to map using the emulator settings but not this controller. The manual states that there are 2 android settings for the device but it is hard to tell if the set up is working or not. I have tried on both a Galaxy S8+ and a Windows Surface Duo but neither accept mapping the inputs through an emulator.In fact, moving the joysticks around and you can see the home screen moving. Somehow it thinks I'm trying to swipe on the screen. It doesn't make sense.I will replace the device and try again but for now my rating for this is 1 star. I really want to rate this device higher because of the form factor. This is one of the nicest bluetooth controllers on the market. Even better than the Backbone controller. It looks even better in person and matches larger phones better than other android controllers.The trigger buttons and sticks are also very good and presses down well. If you've bought other android controllers you'll know what I'm talking about.But its all useless if I can't use it. I hope the manufacturer sees this and makes changes to their firmware. But if its just a faulty controller then I will remake this review once the 2nd controller comes in. That is all.

Title: Perfect solution, that I can't believe doesn't exist elsewhere!
Review: I, like many people, have a current-get iPad Mini 6... and I couldn't stop thinking about how it would make an amazing portable remote gaming device. I have a Kishi and Backbone for iPhone, but the aspect ratio and size of the phone screen just isn't as good. One would think either one of those devices should be designed to expand just a tiny bit further (it is almost funny how close it is to fitting) to accommodate the iPad, but no. It's almost like they intentionally prevent you from doing it. I covered the gamut looking for options, from ripping the backbone apart and removing springs, to buying 3D printed brackets for Joy-Cons from Etsy. After searching for a solution, I finally found this and decided to take a chance on it. It fits the bill perfectly and it is a comfortable and pretty decent controller interface. If you have the same use case, this is a great solution. It does use Bluetooth instead of a USB-C connection and the pairing can be a little finicky, but once you get past that, it's great. Enjoy!

Title: Works great so far, with a few issues
Review: If you’re like me and trying to look for a gamepad that is like a Kishi or Backbone for an iPad mini for so long, this is the best solution so far. At least during the time of this review.So far it works good, even with a bit of intense gameplay when I stream Monster Hunter on my iPad. Connectivity is pretty solid, battery life is decent as well. I don’t notice any latency, or maybe I just don’t play competitively that I can’t perceive it.My main issue with this is how they setup the start and select buttons on the right side of the controller. I don’t understand why they didn’t think of separating it like how most controllers do it. Next is the spring that holds the two sides together, which is a bit weak. It can still hold my iPad mini but I have to be conscious on how I grip it. Last pain point is the shoulder and trigger buttons which feel a bit cheap. It works well but the spring used on it could’ve been better.I am still giving this a 4-star despite my issues with it since it’s the only decent mounted controller for the iPad mini.

Title: Item connects to Bluetooth, does not operate
Review: We've connected this item to my son's phone, an iPhone 12 mini, it has enough charge to operate, all the lights flicker through their various colors, the app that it says we should download has just about zero functions, and only appears to be usable to buy the device itself which seems a little backwards.We have attempted within Roblox and within Minecraft to see if it can control the character and none of the inputs provide any operation whatsoever. The version of iOS is up-to-date, no other troubleshooting steps are forthcoming. Minecraft has a screen to map controls for a joystick, none of the joystick button pushes provide any mapping.This needs help.

Review: This one's as good as the rest, only it uniquely stretches wide enough to accommodate tablets unlike the more expensive competitor's offerings, even fitting 10 inchers! The controller clamps to either side of the intended device and is held in place by nothing more than the spring tension which I was apprehensive about at first but after a couple weeks of solid, sleepless use, I no longer have any concerns since it doesn't budge once in place. Coming from having used devices that connect via USB, I was also apprehensive about using Bluetooth instead, but again these concerns have vanished because if there is any latency I haven't noticed. With my Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, or my Kinstone Tab 12, cloud gaming is prefect whether I'm playing on Game Pass, GeForce Now, or Shadow Cloud PC. Don't hesitate to buy one of these over the pricier alternatives, even if your device is not a tablet. However, it does not come with a case or even a sleeve, so you might want to consider one (any Backbone One case should likely fit it ideally).
