I stayed up reading late because I could not put it down. The writing was beautiful and the plot was interesting and different. I was easily sucked in from chapter 1. I thought I would be very triggered by cheating as that’s normally my big no go zone, but somehow I was not bothered, and I feel like it all has to do with Nathan our hero. The fact that I wasn’t bothered, just got me even more interested because I just had to find out how it all comes together.Nathan and Julia’s sparks start right from the moment they see each other. Their chemistry was all there. Honestly the whole book between 50%-62%mark was pure fire, that will get you all hot and bothered 😉. It was forbidden, naughty and delicious. The sexting, phone scene🔥 The polaroid scene is my favorite I think, so perfect and bittersweet at the same time. Ugh the angst. I was just waiting with each page to see if every little secret starts to come out...the anticipation of it just made me so angsty.Now onto the characters. I was conflicted with Julia. On one hand I hated how her fiancé, Robbie, was treating her, controlling and abusive. But it drove me crazy how committed she was in seeing it through and could turn blind eye to all Robbie’s antics. Idk if it was the guilty because he did a lot for her?!? This is really the only part I knocked off 0.5 stars. I felt like I needed to know more and she needed a bit more for me to fully redeem the cheating. This is the part where all my conflicts come from. I know how hard emotional abuse can be, and how little you start to think of yourself. So I kept going back and forth between wanting to hug her or yell at her.Nathan though? He is a definition of swoony hero. He was hot, protective, troubled, sexy. He was commanding and just went after what he wanted when he saw Julia. I really needed him to win. He was mature and compassionate. I loved that about him.“If you were mine, I’d make you live the truth every day that you are worthy of love.” Hello! How do you even respond to this?!Eve, Julia’s best friend. Still mad at her for the big wrench she threw in. Also mad at her dad. I feel like he did nothing. Willie was an awesome secondary character. Overall awesome debut that had me all conflicted, angry and swoony at the same time. I’m one of those readers that needs the book to cause a reaction or emotions, and this one just did exactly that.

Review: I LOVE THIS BOOK. I was so excited for this release and it didn't disappoint! I read it rather quickly (well, for me because I'm a slow reader here) in about four days because it was such a quick and enticing read. "Burning Little Secrets" by Vivian Mae is more than just romance. It's a story of having the courage to start over and about taking the time to find out who you really are and what you really want out of life.Julia, one of the lovely protagonists, is stuck in a relationship that is way past its expiration date. But she's hanging onto the hope that things can go back to how they once were. A week before her wedding, she flies home to be with her dad and best friend and hopefully unwind from all the stress going on in her life. Enter Nathan, the lovable, swoon worthy firefighter that I was completely obsessed with. Their chemistry was one of my favorite things about the story! Unintentionally, Julia finds herself falling for Nathan. And as her fiancé comes to surprise her, Julia must discover for herself what kind of life she wants to lead and what kind of person she wants to be.One of my favorite things about this story was all the twists! I didn't see them coming and they kept me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen! I also really loved the general concept of this book. Starting over is so frightening and I think people often find themselves staying in relationships because they're too afraid to start over. I really loved watching Julia realize her worth and chasing after her dreams even if it meant losing everything.But let's not forget Nathan! He had his own struggles that he was dealing with and I very much enjoyed watching him grow. This book really capitalized on Julia's and Nathan's joint struggle as well as their own personal inner troubles and I loved that!5/5 stars for me! If you like dual POVs, spicy scenes with intense chemistry, and lots of twists and turns, this book is for you!

Review: Is it a love triangle if you have fallen out of love with the person you're with? In Burning Little Secrets that is the BIG QUESTION? Cheating? definitely! But love triangle? I would say nope.   Julia is living her dream in NYC. She has the job and penthouse, all compliments of her fiancée, Robbie. College sweethearts, they are working to become the new power couple. But Robbie has changed over time. The caring boyfriend has turned into a jealous, overbearing fiancée. A trip home right before the wedding is what Julia needs to help clear her head of wedding jitters. At least that is what she is forcing herself to believe it is.   And this is when her life goes topsy turvy. First night home she meets the incredibly sexy Nathan. A man who sees her and makes her feel things she hasn't in too long.   The chemistry between Julia and Nathan is 💥!! A serious insta lust/turned love story. The lust filled steamy scenes are HOT 🔥!  Burning 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 Secrets, yeah right! They are both keeping HUGE secrets from each other and even as they unravel, they can't seem to stay away. Like a moth to a flame. It's a bit suspenseful with a twist I didn't see coming.   So you can see why in the general sense of the idea it is a love triangle, but since she has fallen out of love with her jerk-off of a fiancée there isn't a triangle. She just refuses to acknowledge the lack of love, or even feelings, she has for Robbie. And believe me, no tears should be shed for him anyway. 😉  If insta lust is your jam, then this one is for you!

Review: This was my first read by the lovely Vivian and I really liked it. I understood Julia’s hesitations and this made her very relatable to me. She’s a woman who needs to find a way to break free but can’t seem to do that, because of her controlling husband. That is until she meets the totally swoon-worthy firefighter Nathan. I loved that Vivian at first made him seem like the perfect guy, but then we discover that Nathan has his own demons. And that made him a realistic character. I love characters like Nathan who have this softness within them. I would have liked this book to be longer so we could’ve had more Nathan. He’s totally worth it with the sweetness and spice he brings to the story. This forbidden love story was worth the read. It was a story with unexpected twists and I fell in love with some of the characters.
