Title: Heavy, flawed, eventually painful, but worth owning! Amazing for the price!!
Review: Heavy. For a drummer to wear for an 8 hour session, he needed breaks. As an engineer, I can be in the live room with a guitarist while he plays loudly and still monitor the other tracks along with him, so it's great for that.pressure is pretty intense, if you're already having a headache, don't use them that day. Also, posture and neck angle make a difference, because the top is so heavy. They feel like they will last a good 10 years, but the strain relief where the cable meets the left phone, that is where the problem is going to be. Also the coiled cable doesn't stretch as easily as you might want it to. It pulls hard enough to unplug them, so get an extension cable. All these complaints, I still give them 5 stars because they block out the sound, have local volume control (that knob on the side) and sound decent. You could use them with a metal detector, operating a radio, etc etc. They are also decently comfortable with one ear on and the other ear against the side of your forehead or wherever so you can hear the world while using them if needed (DJ style, but I would not recommend them for DJs only because they do not look cool enough and the cans don't pivot all the way out. If they did, they would be pretty great for that).

Title: Very good at what they do.
Review: I was in the market for a new pair of noise-dampening headphones. These have been pretty great. They do what they say they do, no doubt about that.I use them with my computer, for music, movies/video and gaming. They get plenty loud enough for me, and the sounds are clear. My only real beef with these headphones, is that they are pretty snug fitting.Good, in that it keeps them on your head while leaning over and whatnot, but bad in that it can be uncomfortable. In my case, when I'm gaming and someone is in the room, I tend to only have the right headphone over my ear, and place the left one behind my left ear (so I can hear when people talk to me). This makes my right ear sore after a while (on the intertragic notch). I've tried different angles (the headphones pivot a little) and extending the length, but no use.If I'm wearing both headphones on my ears (admittedly, as intended), then it doesn't bother me at all.I only bring this up, because I've always worn headphones with one side behind the ear, and have never had this happen. But then, all the headphones I've ever owned, have all been pretty loose fitting.Pros:- Great sound. Both volume and sound quality.- Noise reduction is GREAT on these.- Very snug fit. (see cons also)- Seems to be very solidly constructed.Cons:- A little too snug. Wearing them the way I do, causes irritation.- The cord could be a little longer. It's a good length, but a little longer would have been nice.

Title: Good sound reproduction. Good acoustic isolation. Good value for the price.
Review: My all time favorite headset was a Koss Pro4AA, which I bought in about 1972. I have been searching for a true replacement for a long time. I tried a Koss Pro4AA Titanium, and was greatly disappointed. Primarily because they have very poor acoustic isolation even though they are a sealed over the ear unit. I have also tried a vast number of wired and wireless earbud units. The best one I have found was a KLIPSCH R5 neckband unit, which also fails the isolation requirement. All this brings me to the Koss QZ-99.This unit reproduces the high end of the spectrum as well as any unit I have tried. My test playlist sounds the way it is supposed to sound in that range. If I has an equalizer on my iPad to pump up the bass for my preference I would rate this unit the equal of my Pro4AA in its prime. Why do I say that? This unit provides acoustic isolation equal to that provided by my deluxe shooting ear protectors. I can hear my music or my ball game, without nagging my wife to turn down her mystery on Hallmark, or her shopping spree on QVC.This unit is well constructed and well made, read that as heavy. They seem like they will be in it for the long haul. Yet they are well padded in the ear cushions and the headband. I like these headphones. I think you will also.

Title: Not for musicians
Review: Bought these for use with my electronic drums and unfortunately realized I would have to return them within 5 minutes of putting them on. Unfortunate because, compared to the Vic Firth isolation headphones I haveâwhich are the most uncomfortable headphones I've ever worn and, based on my experience and many reviews I've read, have design flaws and/or very poor build quality and will invariably develop a loose wireâthese Kosses are very comfortable and well-designed. However, they sound like absolute garbage. We're taking cellphone speaker-esque tinniness. There is literally no bass, and I am not exaggerating. I don't have the equipment to prove this, but I'm fairly confident that there are no bass frequencies whatsoever being produced by the drivers in these headphones. And on top of that, the sound isolation is not much better than the Sony MDR-7506 I was using prior. So they sound bad and they don't really block out sound... Even though I'm a fan of Koss in general (I've had two pairs of KSC75s, one of which I thought I had lost but actually turned out to have fallen out of my car, sat outside on the ground for days, and when I eventually found them, STILL WORKED), I cannot recommend these for e-drummers or anyone else who has any interest in even a basic level of audio fidelity. I can't comment on how well they work to block out the sound of engines or machines, maybe they're good at that, and if all you're listening to on them is podcasts they might actually be a well-made, comfortable pair of isolation headphones for your application. For me, however, they just didn't pass muster.

Review: Got it for my metal detector, very nice quality of structure. I use it 4-6 hours in a row, a bit heavy, but i don't feel any pressure on my head or fatigue. For those who wants to use it as a music headphones, first - check if your player device will be able to handle its 60 homs, if your devise has no equalizer probably you not gonna be happy 😉 My mac plays great, no issues at all. I never go over 60-70% of the volume level. Everything that KOSS published at an official web-page meets with what i've got. So, i would recommend it, but only if you know how to use it.

Customers like the sound quality, comfort, and functionality of the headphones. They mention they attenuate ambient sounds well, are comfortable for long-term use, and work very well. Some also like the value for money and volume control. However, some customers dislike the weight and head comfort. Opinions are mixed on the build quality.
