Review: Gave this to my son as a gag gift when he left for college. But it’s actually quite informative. It’s a good read and funny

Title: WELL RECEIVED BY MY SON!
Review: My son is not typically a reader, but I bought this book for him for high school graduation. I was hoping he'd read it as he was headed off to a large 4 year university and was hoping it would help set some expectations. Social media sometimes leave kids with unrealistic expectations. He DID read it and seemed to enjoy it. The book helped set expectations for living with people, interacting with new people and he even noted that book said you may have to go to some things by yourself. it was exactly what he needed and it's on his way in college!

Title: Funny and informative
Review: I bought this for my high school senior hoping she might at least take it with her to college. To my surprise, she's already halfway through reading it and says it's funny and gives great advice. This book doesn't shy away from any awkward scenarios. Will definitely recommend to others.

Title: Good Read and Full of Advice, but Had a Major Crease on the Cover
Review: I purchased the book as a gift for a soon-to-be high school graduate because I enjoyed the e-version of it very much - some laughing was involved, but a lot of learning other aspects of college I didn't consider... as well as bringing up some memories of my own. "The Naked Roommate..." is full of fun information and advise for all college students, but especially for new college students (Freshmen), who will be entering a whole new, uncertain, and for many (likely a) scary world. The students will be taking their first steps into adulthood. This book gives them a wide range of things to be aware of, but also advises them on how to meet other students, encourages them to join things at their college (clubs, sororities/fraternities), etc.), but makes sure they are aware of the not so good side of things as well. I thought it would be a good book for my high school senior niece to read, help her prepare for college, and possibly even do some planning for how she will start her college journey. And then, possibly pass on to her younger siblings. For this, five stars. However, I did purchase a new book. When it came, there was a HUGE crease on the front cover. Since this is intended as a gift, it disappoints me tremendously. It is also the holiday season, so packages are highly shipped and the exchanging may cause me to not receive it before the gift is to be given. The book came unwrapped in protective anything over it, in a large box with other items, and zero box fillers (like air bubbles, peanuts, bubble wrap, etc.), which VERY likely caused the book to be creased during the shipping process. For this, minus two stars. Over all, three stars because "new" books should be completely flawless, not creased... as a book lover, the cover of the book having a MAJOR crease is unacceptable... book abuse.

Review: I can not comment on the content. I bought this as a gift and it showed up looking worn, with writing on the cover, a small dog ear on the corner of the front cover, a small fold on the back cover, and a general feeling of having been extensively handled. Maybe it was a display model for several years. The content may be fine, but for a gift, it does not look nice.
