The unsolved murder of a young activist leads to the discovery of much darker crimes in New York Times best-selling author Allison Brennan’s latest compelling thriller to feature the young, edgy detective Kara Quinn and the loner FBI agent Matt Costa. This time they work to uncover possible ties to a high-stakes cartel in the Southwest desert.

Something mysterious is killing the wildlife in the mountains just south of Tucson. When a college intern turned activist sets out to collect her own evidence, she, too, ends up dead. Local law enforcement is slow to get involved. That’s when the mobile FBI unit goes undercover to infiltrate the town and its copper refinery in search of possible leads.

Quinn and Costa find themselves scouring the desolate landscape, which keeps revealing clues to something much darker - greed, child trafficking and more death. As the body count adds up, it’s clear they have stumbled onto much more than they bargained for. Now they must figure out who is at the heart of this mayhem and stop them before more innocent lives are lost.

Title: Great new series with mystery, adventures and great characters.
Review: In this second book the characters of the regular team are further developed. This special team is a good device to give different types of crime adventures. The author does a gyjob of developing characters, not only the long term team members but also the 1 book local characters. This book set on Mexican border brought us drugs, human smuggling and guns. Plus some local environment crimes. I found the book engaging and compelling, so I finished fairly quickly. The Kindle Unlimited book came with Audible version and I primarily listed on Audible with a good narrator.

Title: Intriguing
Review: Great cases and backstory of town and characters. I really like this new team and dynamic between Costa and Kara, as a couple and with Ryder and Michael as a team. The story was complex and I enjoyed all the moving parts. I do wish the romance part was a bit more clear and I look forward to seeing that develop more as well as seeing more of the team dynamic. I also hope to see more of the LA FBI agent get in trouble for his actions in book one. And I want to see what happens with the two newer team members! This is a fun series and I can’t wait for the next book.

Title: Another Incredible Thriller for Quinn & Costa
Review: I loved Tell No Lies by Allison Brennan, the second book in her Quinn and Costa series. Tell No Lies kept me on the edge of my seat and up many late nights reading. Allison Brennan as once again proven that she is a wonderful storyteller who always delivers truly page turning thrillers. I loved every page and could not put it down. Tell No Lies is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Allison Brennan thriller. Especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner, and the many surprise plot-twists. Tell No Lies is the story of the newly created D.C. based FBI mobile response team, under the leadership of Mathias "Matt" Costa, and team members: L.A. detective Kara Quinn, white-collar crimes expert Zack Heller, team analyst Ryder Kim, veteran Navy SEAL Michael Harris, and forensics expert Jim Esteban. The team is in Patagonia, Arizona trying to solve the murder case of Emma Perez. The investigation starts with the premise of illegal dumping of slag by Southwest Copper. Kara is working undercover as a bartender at The Wrangler, the local bar and Michael is working his first undercover case inside Southwest Copper. Matt is working with Joe Molina, the son of the owner of Southwest Copper, John Molina. The case takes some surprise twists and turns, and it ends up being so much more that illegal dumping. I love how the team is able to gather the information and connect all the pieces of the case together to find the killer and what is really going on in Patagonia. I love that there is a hint of a relationship between Matt and Kara. Cannot wait to see what happens between them in the coming books. Like all of Allison Brennan's, Tell No Lies is filled with incredible characters, thrilling plot twists and unexpected turns of events. I really love everything about this series and cannot wait for the upcoming books in the series. Allison Brennan continues to amaze me with her writing and to deliver incredible thrillers. Highly recommend this thriller.

Title: Starts slow, then takes off!
Review: Discovered the first book in this series after reading another unrelated book by Brennan. The first Quinn & Costa book was a page turner from the beginning. This one took me longer to get into due to many moving parts & pieces that seemed a bit disconnected. However, when the story lines merged this one became a great thriller as well.Looking forward to reading Quinn & Costa Book 3.

Title: Not the Author’s Best Book
Review: I normally like Allison Brennan books, but this one was so slow that it was actually boring until page 221. Normally her books have my attention on page 1. There are too many plots going on in this book, and too many characters to keep track of. And the main characters aren’t described the same as the first book in this series, which is both disappointing and odd. The setting is desert landscape, so it’s all dirt and run down buildings. Definitely not my favorite book by this author.

Title: I picked this because I live near the location it is set, but I couldn't put it down
Review: This book is set in a location near where I live and includes some historical sites in the plot. But it was the story wonderfully told that kept me reading. From some real profound experiences for some characters and a look at a couple of major issues that actually happen to people all the way through the characters that I now love. I was looking for a book to read but I found a series I must have. And since I am going on a pre-planned camping trip to Patagonia, Arizona tomorrow, I am going to tell everyone there that I see about this. And downloading the other books in the series. A wonderful job by Allison Brennan.

Title: Tell No Lies
Review: There were just too many characters in this story, it was hard to keep track of them all and so much repetition all the time. So many times I thought just quit reading it but I plowed thru. I won’t choose another Allison Brennan book tho!

Review: I love this new series by Allison Brennan, Third to Die was a brilliant introduction to the mobile response team and Tell No Lies is an equally brilliant second book. The story is full of twists and turns and what starts of as a simple murder case soon becomes something far more complex for Matt Costa and his team. The story flows wonderfully and I love the way all the team play their part, it’s also great that the chemistry between Matt and Kara isn’t really focused on, it’s just m entioned in passing. A fascinating complex twisty turny suspense novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat till the last page
