Title: Excellent microscope for both education and scientific research
Review: I've bought this microscope to help feed my daughter's interest in biology and science. We've also separately purchased a set of prepared slides with a good variety of samples that can be observed under the microscope, and it has been an interesting experience. This is a professional microscope with multiple eye pieces of different strengths. While this model is manual and does not offer any digital connections, the company also has slightly different versions that come with a USB connection or a small LCD screen. For this one, you do get a phone holder that allows you to take pictures using your phone's physical camera.The whole set is pretty sizable and comes in a large carry bag. Therefore, I'll recommend it for folks who have the proper desk space to keep it, or alternatively, does not mind packing, storing and setting up again when needed. Being a professional grade instrument, there's also a lifetime warranty on the microscope.In short, a highly capable technical instrument, provided at an extremely reasonable price, and will likely stay with you for a long time with proper maintenance. This scope easily gets 5 stars from me, and is highly recommended.

Title: A very good quality microscope for the price, but get the model that accepts a camera
Review: We are long past old fashioned microscopes that let you see slides or lab samples. We live in a world of "A picture or it didn't happen!" For old-timers this microscope has the quality your teacher would use, and you could only long for. The price is very good for a microscope of this quality. But, overall, taking a photo is difficult because this is the wrong model. Don't settle for this model, save up for the model that can have a camera or viewing screen attached.

Title: Very Nice Dual Powered Microscope
Review: This is really a nice microscope. I had ordered some premade slides to use with this microscope and it really worked perfect. You get 3 different sets of power eyepieces (multipliers) in 10X, 16X, 25X and 4 lenses 4X, 10X, 40X, 100X. A box of 50 Slides and a box of glass covers, mobile phone bracket for taking pictures, USB power cord with power adapter, and a blue tint filter. This plus the microscope all fit into a nice storage/carry bag.The microscope is dual power, runs on 3 AA batteries or using the power block and cord. Really great feature to be able to use this microscope virtually anywhere.The optics are very clear giving you crisp images. The LED adjustable lighting works perfect. Adjustments in the X, Y, and Z axis are fluid and knobs all move easily and hold firmly.Everything you need to get started is included except if wanting to use the 100X lens you will need immersion oil (type A works best) to see using the highest magnification this microscope offers.This is a great microscope to use and explore with your family. Makes for a great outdoor activity finding new things to look at...especially pond and lake water. Always interesting things to find.Highly recommend for all ages...
