Title: Strong Content and Well Written
Review: The book does a wonderful job of explaining the diverse aspects of public relations. The author manages to keep the book interesting by keeping the content subject moving at a good pace. There are some good call-outs on tools that the public relations professional can use - but the wisdom of the book relates to her personal experience. She draws on her real-life interactions with newsrooms, editors, etc. to identify pitfalls and best practices.

Title: Must-Read for Modern Approaches to PR
Review: A Modern Guide to Public Relations is an excellent guide to creating a more modern PR strategy, rather than relying on the traditional press release. What I loved most is how the book discussed the best way to pitch ideas to/communicate with different types of media. The book also highlighted different components of a PR strategy, including SEO PR, Social Media PR, and Content PR. As a marketing professional, I will be continuously referencing the knowledge outlined in this book. I highly recommend A Modern Guide to Public Relations to anyone in a marketing and communications position.
