To install the batteries, push the rear cover open in the direction of the arrow at the bottom of the illustration, and then insert the batteries as shown in the figure. Make sure that the positive and negative ends are facing in the correct direction. Close the rear cover as shown.

Title: Works great, especially for the price!
Review: Bought as a secondary remote because my kids keep losing the one that came with the TV (Samsung Series 8). As far as I can tell the remote works identically to the original remote. I didn't have to do any setup to have it work with my TV. Unlike my original remote, which has a glossy plastic finish, this remote is matte. It feels nice enough. This remote also has additional buttons for Netflix, Prime, and web browsing, which my original remote doesn't have. These additional buttons work as intended.I feel this remote is likely made in the same factory as the original, as the battery cover has identical casting and tooling marks as my original. Overall pretty happy with the purchase, especially considering the price (I paid $19.99).

Title: it worked on my Sharp TV

Review: My grandchildren visited, the Samsung remote disappeared. I called Samsung to order one, they said $98, its in backorder and no delivery date in sight. I was skeptical buying this but took a chance based upon the reviews. Received it, batteries in, tv started right up. **I WAS SO FRUSTRATED TRYING TO GET THE BACK OFF TO INSTALL THE BATTERIES AND WANTED TO TAKE OFF 1 STAR BUT DECIDED NOT TO BECAUSE OF THE VALUE.

Title: Easy, Uncomplicated Remote
Review: We needed a universal remote to replace one that our dog ate. I had ordered a different one, and it had so many buttons, had to be programmed to match the TV, and never seemed to work just right. So, I ordered this one because it looked similar to another one that we have and like. I LOVE it! I didn't have to pair it with my TV--it worked automatically. It's very easy to figure out and use. The only thing I would say is that the volume/channel buttons aren't intuitive. You have to push/pull up and down rather than click on one end or the other. I hope that makes sense.
