Barney thinks his life is under control. His life has other ideas.
In this final instalment in The Barney Conroy Series, Barney is as funny, lovable, and gloriously hapless as ever. The beloved anti-hero returns for another whirlwind of laughs, life lessons, and plenty of awkwardly endearing moments.
Whether he’s navigating the world of therapy, dealing with life’s curveballs, or stumbling through relationships, Barney’s growth is both hilarious and poignant. While the humor remains irresistibly fresh, there’s an unexpected depth to this book as Barney faces more serious challenges with the same mix of cluelessness and heart that fans have come to love.
Readers who’ve followed Barney from the beginning will be delighted to see how far he’s come—and how much further he still has to go. Newcomers will find themselves immediately drawn into his world, and by the end, they'll be eager to read the rest of the series.
A perfect blend of wit, wisdom, and warmth, The Best Version of Me is as deeply moving as it is laugh-out-loud funny. If you love stories with heart, humor, and characters who feel like old friends, this storyis for you.
Get ready for Barney’s funniest, most moving adventure yet.

Title: Three for three
Review: I enjoyed this third book as much as the first two. I worried that a "successful" Barney might be less funny, but somehow he still comes across as both likeable and hapless. There are many laugh out loud cultural references, though at times I wondered if some weren't a bit dated or obscure for today's readers (e.g., Jar Jar Binks, Kevin Arnold). But this is a book I looked forward to picking back up and spending time with - and that's the mark of a good book for me. If you are new to Barney, start with the first one and read in series.

Title: Great!!
Review: I usually read multiple books at a time but there are a few authors that I'll drop everything (bookwise) for so I can read them right away. Guy Sigley is one of those authors. I've read all of the "Barney" books and have enjoyed them all. They are funny but he doesn't make it non-stop funny which I find annoying when I've encountered it in other books. They are just great stories. I highly recommend them all.

Title: Another great read from Guy!
Review: This is the third Barney book in the series and maybe the best so far? I've enjoyed watching him evolve into this version the most! It feels like I've been with him for a heck of a long time and his life is very entertaining, to say the least. I highly recommend this book and the other two to anyone that likes a solid story and a good laugh. No spoilers here,,, but I loved the ending!

Title: Loved this book
Review: I've read the first two Barney books and was hoping this one would be just as funny and an enjoyable read. It lives up to my expectations. Although this story has a more serious note at times, the story as a whole shines. Plus, we get to see Barney growing up and facing difficult situations. As a therapist, I found the references to therapy hilarious. Thank you for such an entertaining read!

Review: When I read 'Barney 1' I had no idea that 'Barney 2' would overshadow it so completely. At that stage, 'pre-Barney 3,' it was obvious that the writer had 'peaked out', and that there was no way 'Barney 3' could even begin to match 'Barney 2'.I was wrong.Unbelievably, 'Barney 3' put the wonderful 'Barney 2' in the shade!I am in awe of an author who can write so entertainingly while expertly and covertly dissecting and exposing the human condition.I quite believe the author when he says in the back matter that he has spent 6/7 years writing 'Barney' - I am just hoping that he's already started 'Barney 4' ...
